It's been confirmed by "fourzerotwo" that COD4's "Chinatown" that is being released on the patch is a remake of COD2's Carentan. Awesome news in my opinion, as Carentan was one hell of a map, and with tweaks it's going to be one of the best maps on COD4.

Carentan was probably the best map on CoD2. Especially when playing capture-the-flag. I used to play it every day for about 5 months.

I've opened 4 ports on my router and disabled uPnP on my PS3, restarted the router and hey-presto my Public Playlists shows straight away.

I just finished a fine performance in a Hardcore Team Deathmatch, 13 and 0 on crash... the next best on my team was 8 and 12 needless to say even such a superb showing by myself was not enough to save our team from defeat.

See, for me, getting 13 kills isn't impressive. Personally, I find getting 29 kills and 28 deaths more rewarding and satisfying than 10 kills and no deaths. Suppose it comes down to preference though.

Also, I find the people who rarely die are the people who rarely move. :mellow: It's just a rather boring way to play the game.

Well as long as you're not on my team I don't mind, the object of the game is to kill and not be killed. So the larger the difference between your kills and your deaths, the better. Obviously 15/5 is better than 10/0, but 10/0 is certainly better than 15/20 or 15/10. :erm:

Yes, I enjoy sniping but this not moving about lark is rubbish. On 'non-hardcore' modes a sniper that sits about should be slaughtered relatively frequently. Good snipers move about and keep the opposition guessing. Also to be honest, I'd rather be killed by a good shot from a sniper than the flying bullets of a trigger happy M4 wielding lunatic or a randomly thrown grenade.

I understand it, it's just to me I prefer going for it. Besides, I could score 10/0 quite easily, but it really isn't a fun way of playing for me.
