How good you reckon they would be? Think someone like Riquelme and Pirlo would be ace at through balls? Think CR7 and Messi would run circles around the defense? I ain't talking about next gen btw as I'm sure my grandma would be able to run circles around the defense.

AY7 is my new fave. DB7 is like for vintage stuff whilst no one can beat GB7.

although my friend did once play a local basketball player (nbl) in nba live 2008, crazy. But hes like small time fame compared to CR7 or even EG7

wow I was expecting a decent conversation since real guitar players get owned by kids in guitar hero. They say knowledge of the guitar is actually a hindrance instead of an advantage so I was wondering if the same would be applied to pes.

Put it this way mate: real football requires you to have strong stamina, anticipate the ball's trajectory, have excellent dribbling skills etc... in general be both mentally and physically strong.. what does PES require?

The ability to press the shoot button on time or determine how long to hold the pass button? No comparison dude.. the AI is not up there yet so you cant tell me that Rooney can use his strategies (which he lacks anyway) in PES..

Yes, professionals can use their real life skills in certain "sims" (i.e: flight simulator) but as far as PES goes, I think anyone can be good at it, even a fat lump of tart such as myself (ex-mediocre midfielder for Hofstra University who used to play competitively ) can accomplish

I personally think most would suck at pes. Since it was molded after real life football situations, perhaps having real life experience would help? Perhaps someone like Messi can only think about dribbling through teams using only 1 player, which usually is not quite as effective as a good passing game.

I've seen NHL, NFL, and NBA players play the games and the less talented players are always the better ones. Less talented players also usually make better coaches. The reason is because they try to come up with tactical advantages to make up for their inferior physical talent. So perhaps us average Joes would be better than those stars because we are forced to rely on our brain while they can easily rely on their physical talent.

You would think that a real guitarist would be great at Guitar Hero. Afterall, it involves playing notes with a plastic guitar and going with a rythm as well as having great coordination between their hands, something they're great at and have been doing for years. But in truth they really suck and gets murdered by a 9 year old kid who has only been playing for a year.

I just felt like talking about something else for a change instead of the constant bitching and moaning threads about how much pes2008 sucks ass.

gilbert arenas is good at live 08.

Oh yeah? I wonder if he's the best on his team or maybe the lowest scoring guy is and if the low scoring guy is better maybe it had to do with him playing video games instead of practising

The players in the NBA, NHL, and NFL frequently play the games so I wonder how many football players kick back with Fifa or Pes before bed
