What would you like to see in Pro Evo 2009 ???

I would like a great Master League and a greater gameplay.
Instead of that, I don't mind.

How about Created Player Career ML? You create a player, then, playing fixed as that player, you have to get signed to a team and work your way up the ladder, till, by the end of your career, you're playing for one of the world's biggest clubs and trying to lead (or have already led) them to glory.

I think we need to see more flexibility with editing.

Many good things have been mentioned, here is something I think would make a big diffence:

More realistic defense: the backline works better together, they support eachother, and closes the dangerous areas. So you don't find the right back out on the sideline when the ball is in the box ect.

More realistic attack: the way they move and think, when they are offball

Master League improvements:
Especially the manager part, improve transfers and the way to make an offer. why they reject ect. No MAX of what you can offer if you got the money. real young talents would be nice as well. Konami could take a look at football manager, and maybe add som few things.

Penalty:
you should be able to shoot with the anside of the foot, which made the precision better, but as well eaisier for the goalier to save if he chooses the right side. So you can choose a precision or hard shot.

Goalkeepers: they should be smart enough not putting the ball into their own goal with the ball in their hands. It happens sometimes when they save it on the goal line. And they should be better on crosses.

League: when you play for.eaxmple Priemere League it should result in that you could enter Champions League or Uefa, and transfers should be availeble here as well.

Bundesliga, names ect. but not the most important, because it can be changes by oneselves

Gameplay: I have mentioned some gameplay things and I think konami would work to optimice it, so I do not think it is a think they will over see:)

If these things are changed it would be a much more realistic and fantastic game, and I hope some of these things will appear in the new game : )

Apart from the obvious, i'd love to see the Bundesliga on there, preferably in replace of the Ligue One. The French league is so poor, Lyon dominate year in, year out and they're the only representatives in the Champions Leauge. Whereas the German League is up and coming, just look at Stuttgart this year, quarter finalists in the Champs League! Talents in that League such as Ribery, Diego, Van Ver Vaart, Podolski, Kompany etc need to be in their respective teams on PES09!

Anyone agree?

Bundesliga, definately. But why replace Ligue 1? PES shouldn't be so bad as to have to only accomodate a certain amount of leagues - look at FIFA it goes down to League 2 I believe.

I think all real team badges should be locked so you can then buy them in the PES shop, as well as sponsors and logos.

Kits can also be locked as well as players!!!

Restructuring the Champions League (or King's Cup because I always change the name) is also a must if Konami want to revitalize the Master League.

#1 - I give you a scenario of eight random league and cup champions from four different leagues...

Manchester United - Arsenal
Juventus - AC Milan
Barcelona - Real Madrid
Bayern Munich - Werder Bremen

The idea of championship qualification (be they league or cup) fulfils the criteria of only competition winners qualifying for a Champions League place, maintaining its prestige while also adding importance to the domestic cup competitions, difficulty in qualification (limited spaces) and participation (teams like Ream Madrid and AC Milan trying to squeeze you out of their elite group). I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I'm sick of facing teams like Aston Villa and Middlesborough in a competition that's supposed to be 'reward' for the previous season's hard grafting. This format ensures a healthy rotation of top quality teams entering the competition to prevent the experience from going stale (e.g. Man United/Juventus/Barcelona/Bayern may win the League/Cup one season, Chelsea/Inter Milan/Valencia/Stuttgart the next) while the elimination of a qualification round means there's zero risk of an uneven ratio of teams-per-league. There’s no reason for domestic rivals to clash in the group stage.

#2 -Imagine them split into two groups of four (two league and cup champions per group) with two home and away legs in each tie...

Group A
Manchester United
AC Milan
Barcelona
Werder Bremen

Group B
Arsenal
Juventus
Real Madrid
Bayern Munich

Two groups provide an even distribution of quality throughout the competition. The quality of each side should break the predictability of knowing who’ll qualify from every group. The prospect of two home and away legs between each side (twelve matches for a single side - the same number any team plays en route to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League) emphasises the idea of a League of Champions, giving a fair and thorough assessment of how your team ranks when matched with the best the Master League has to offer as well as prolonging the competition over the course of a season. Home & Away form MUST be a factor in deciding a tied group, it's the European way...

#3 King's Cup Final

Group A winner v Group B winner

Nothing really needs explaining here, the two group winners meet in a titanic clash of epic proportions, however, such an occasion needs the appropriate stadia. My suggestion would be allowing us to customize a list of up to ten stadia in the game with 50'000 capacity or higher (Emirates, Allianz Arena, Dragao, Jose Avalade, etc...), or whatever your choice, to be set out at random to host finals for the next ten seasons. Having a fixed destination for every final would be far more realistic than a random, ugly, under-capacity stadium which fails to do the occasion justice.

#4 The Master’s Cup (or European Championship - yes, I do steal these names) - The format would mimic the current Champions League format, eight groups of four teams, home and away leg with the top two qualifying to the knock out round. Qualification would require a top five finish (or lower depending on Champions League qualification). For Example...

1st Manchester United - KC (League Champions)
2nd Chelsea - EC
3rd Arsenal - KC (Cup Champions)
4th Liverpool - EC
5th Everton - EC
6th Tottenham - EC

1st Juventus - KC (League Champions)
2nd AC Milan - KC (Cup Champions)
3rd Inter Milan - EC
4th Roma - EC
5th Fiorentina - EC
6th Udinese - EC

1st Barcelona - KC (League Champions)
2nd Valencia - EC
3rd Villareal - EC
4th Real Madrid - KC (Cup Champions)
5th Atletico Madrid - EC
6th Sevilla - EC

1st Bayern Munich - KC (League Champions)
2nd Borussia Dortmund - EC
3rd Bayer Leverkusen - EC
4th Hamburg - EC
5th Stuttgart - EC
6th Werder Bremen - KC (Cup Champions)

As you may or may not have guessed by this post, I hold a complete abhoration for the pointless qualification stage we’ve been subjected to on previous Master Leagues. I mean honestly, what’s the point a there’s only four league’s that exist? So, in my opinion, seeding should be based on League position, which would be...

Chelsea, Inter Milan, Valencia, Borussia Dortmund

Liverpool, Roma, Villareal, Bayer Leverkusen

Everton, Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid, Hamburg

Tottenham, Udinese, Sevilla, Stuttgart

This would give the player incentive to focus on the league even if the title race has already been decided, with a higher league position resulting in an easier path through the group stage as well as financial rewards varying depending on final league position. Once again no qualification stage means no risk of upsetting the teams-per-league ratio, thus the resulting draw wouldn’t feature two teams from the same League. After that the rest pretty much writes itself...

Group A
Chelsea
Villareal
Hamburg
Udinese

Group B
Valencia
Liverpool
Fiorentina
Stuttgart

Group C
Borussia Dortmund
Roma
Everton
Sevilla

Group D
Inter Milan
Bayer Leverkusen
Atletico Madrid
Tottenham

#5 Closing notes - I understand that the whole point of this game is realism, but in a mode as unique as the Master League realism is a relative term. The specialness has gone from the mode’s premier competitions and after five years a change must be made to refresh it. Oh, and for the love of GOD there MUST be a European Super Cup.

i would like to see some sort of appealing for cards (when one team crowds round the referee to add pressure for him to give a card)

maybe cards for descent?

option to start a fight on the pitch..... player to player....then teams get involved... etc..etc...

not major things.... but i would find the game more enjoyable lol.

Like millions of other on millions of different threads I can think of numerous things I would love to see in PES 2009. And like others said bringing back features from previous versions, passed off as new and amazing is just taking the p*ss out of the loyal fans who buy the game.

I mean this is supposed to be a next-gen version of the game and the features from PES 2008 where shocking. I have seen Amiga and Mega Drive games with more data in them.

So here is what is easily feasible and I would welcome in the next installment:

1. More teams: explains itself, maybe some more brazilian teams, the german league, argentinian teams. Who really wants MLS teams just because Beckham plays for the Galaxy? Do you want Gateshead or Dagenham and Redbridge in it? It's the same standard!

2. More kit templates.

3. More real boots and ability to bulid your own.

4. More balls and again a template to design your own.

5. Being able to choose what kit you wear in cup and league games. I am sick of being Barcelona for example and always playing in my away kit at home. Half the time the two kits will clash as well.

6. Euro qualification in league mode. How hard can it be to achieve this? I mean the concept was applied in FIFA 97 on the Mega Drive for god's sake!

7. Better keepers. I don't know why they feel the need to change them all the time for better animation. What keeper do you know that tries and save a ball going to his left by diving backwards as if they were in the Matrix films? Simple animation that gets results!

8. Get rid of the pants angles i.e penalties. What where they thinking?

9. Stop lying to the fans! Plain and simple!

I know one thing for sure is that I am going to borrow or rent the game before I buy it. If it fails to deliver then they have just lost a loyal fan who has played the game since the first ever version!!

Ok, well there is quite a bit of work to be done to make it impressive like back in the good ol' days of earlier PES games.

1: LINESMEN! I think the ones in the currect versions are maybe sat out of view having a cup of tea and some biscuits and just randomly sticks his flag up when someone is attacking..

2: Better Commentary! Stupid " One Liners " getting repeated every match... its just silly!

3: More Crowd Chants! Possibly from actual Team Fans from across the world. For Instance, When playing at " The Red Cauldron " (omg! lol) have the crowd singing YNWA every once in a while.

4: Better Reactions! From the commentators that is... and the crowd!

5: More Commentary! I know it runs along the line of my Number 2, but i think more commentary on players and teams is needed. I know in PES2008 the commentator will say " One more goal and he'll top the most goals " or something along those lines but it needs more... I actually scored another when the commentator said that and it was back to the " one liners ".

6: BETTER EDITING! How hard can it be to allow more than 2 logo's on a kit and where to place them?? Pathetic excuse for editing IMHO

So there's my little list. I hope people agree with me about them :)

I think they should have more leagues.
Manager Mode (Master league) like FIFA 08 manager mode.
Registered Teams, kits, stadiums, better commentators, boots, balls, harder difficulty, They should make more players look like they actually do not just players for big teams. Realistic stats. (on pes 2008 Bacary Sagna (arsenal) dribble speed:64).

They wont have registered teams until 2010.... but thats only a possibility as Konami will have to buy the licenses to the team names, badges and kits etc

other than better crowd and pretty much everything else mentioned id like to see a better transfer window, i mean that in the sense of being able to offer players to clubs for both sale and loan. ive had plenty of players ive put up for transfer and nobody wants to know so im having to release them. its not like its crap players either there was ronald koeman and cruyff in there. plus i like to go down the top teams way of doing things i.e loaning out young players to lower clubs so they develop better and quicker

i know what you mean i have never sold a player only released them or trade and they should put the option of putting young players on loan
