how to make a striker header the ball?

use for conner kick or long pass from side... any idea guys?

Press shoot when the balls in the air. Sounds tough but it's pretty easy really...

if a ball is in the air all you have to do is press the regular shoot button...should head it automatically

It will, although you need to adjust the player position before heading the ball on pes2008 otherwise, nearly 100% of headers will go over the bar

Same here. The goal seems (to me) like it depends almost entirely on the cross. A ball from the wing almost definitely ends inside the goal if it approaches the ground a few meters outside the far post, with someone sprinting in to net it.

Straight up aerial battles seem like they require positioning and timing in terms of when to press the button, though.

I almost always try to adjust my player's position to get in front of the opposition's players. To do this you just hold RT (Xbox) or R2 (PS3) and move your player with the direction buttons. This will give you more chance of success when heading, then to pass the ball with a header, just press A (Xbox) or X (PS3) and to shoot, press X (Xbox) or Square (PS3).

But I always adjust my players positioning when heading, especially from a corner.
