I would prefer it if FIFA09 turns out to be a good game.. This way Konami can't sit on their ass like they used to.

Well, that's your opinion, and your obviously misunderstanding.. All I'm saying is that Konami has been siting on their ass for quite a while now, at least with PES they have done NOTHING for 5 years now.
And I don't know about you, but with Next Gen Consoles I think Konami should make Noticeable Updates to the game -instead- of just re-introducing Old Features as "New Features"; better Edit Mode?? Didn't we had that back in PES4?
I'd rather be a Crappy Fan with some Decency and Self Respect intact -instead- of a Fan like you, you are helpless, you are a helpess consumer.. your the kind of fan who will buy any crap Konami releases.

you bought the game too buddy so i guess ur hopeless too heheh....the first PES i played was PES 6 and IMO PES 2008 was a bit more enjoyable......but like i said u suck at that game and thats why u hate it basically....all that crap u talk about players beign too fast and the star players too powerful is crap man.....me and my freinds never overpower one another with the stars we knwo how to play you obviously dont....go play fifa that game has INNOVATIVE features, something that you are apparently looking for.

why do we know that? jsut because they say so? come on now man.....Just wait til they both come out man PES 2009 will blow FIFA away ( like it has been doing for the last ten or more years ).....that article does crack me up tho.....it talks about KONAMI needing to be up to speed with EA, YET they are saying its tough to say that FIFA 09 is better then PES 2008 ( soudns to me like FIFA is behind in times since they are competing with PES 2008 lol )

PES 2009 will be the BEST soccer game to date.
Konami are not idiots man they KNOW they have to create a great game meaning great gameplay. Ppl have playtested this game and said that it plays INCREDIBLE smooth even tho it was about 70 or 80% done i cant remeber which it was.
GAMEPLAY will be SPOT ON that i am 100% sure of cuz that it was konami knows how to do best.
as far as the rest goes it will be a bonus to me at least

I think the game sucks because I am Unstoppable in the game, I could basically do ANYTHING with Ronaldo (the Brazilian one) -and- after the 1st 4 hours of doing that, I got bored of it. Then I gave it a few more tries, and when I realized that it was Total Crap -I- sold it. I still play PES6 though.
Another thing that I did NOT liked at all, was that Slow Skillful players where shite, Technical (Technique) Skill is nowhere to be found.. it's all about the "Pace" and the "Shooting Power" -and- of course, players that Move as if they where on rails.. Everything about PES08 was embarrassing, even the Menu was embarrassing.
And yeah, FIFA is innovative?? It's that why FIFA08 is the same fucking game as FIFA07, it's that why FIFA09 looks extremely similar to FIFA08... it's still the same engine, it's still the Same game, it remains Boring and Old.
And yet again, PES 2008 sucks, most people have agreed on that FACT, even some people who work with the game have publicly admitted that; "PES09 will be what PES08 should have been" -in- other words, PES08 was an Unfinished product, it was disappointing.
But whatever, everyone's entitle to their Opinions. In my case, I think PES08 is an Arcade game, I think it sucks, it was a great disappointment for me -because- I expected something much better. I hope PES09 truly is what "PES08 should have been".

I'm with 'Amateur' on this one. PES 2008 was the first pro evo that left me feeling dissapointed. Mainly due to lack of depthin edit mode/masterleagues etc. It was just too easy to be promoted in your first season, make a few signings then go on and win the top league in your second season! Also, I never really felt any kind of decent/hostile atmosphere in the stadiums - It was all a bit samey!
I really hope that PES 2009 gets it right because I never thought I'd ever hear myself say that I may make 'the big switch' to FIFA 09 (if it is any good that is).
I want to be convinced by Konami that they aren't just relying on their previous reputation!
