This is a quote straight from gamespot preview,

"However, Konami did tease us with the news that a major European competition will be officially licensed in the finished game. We're not allowed to announce which competition, because of an embargo, but we expect that fans will be pretty excited by the news".

This surely is the Champions league. Ok, maybe most teams from spain and England wont be licened but we can solve that and then you get the official trophy!, music, possible big commentators and much more.

God forbid its the Uefa Cup but it could just be the Europian Cup the national competition

untill confermed im thinking its the national european trophey because it seems it was massive this year because spain won it.... and also spain are licensed!

I am beginning to sway that way

I am thinking though that seeing as the dont have the Premiership or La Liga the Champions League may be a great way for them to get the best teams from each so no1 will care.

If they do get the champions league ( CL )....they could get the REAL LICENSED clubs that will participate in this upcoming CL.

It could be the UEFA CUP too tho....which I would not mind either but do prefer CL.

Or it could be the EURO CUP....

Only fault with your argument is the fact we know ONLY 2 english prem teams will be in the game.

But defo out of those 3. I have played well over a 100 seasons of ML and have never been entered for the Uefa cup. I hope its not there.

Well the KITS are diff. for the CL....they are not the EPL's kits they are the CL kits.....think of FIFA CL remember that game? It had only CL kits and not the Season kits they use in the EPL....so if it is CL we will most likely get all the teams that are PARTICIPATING in it licensed....in CL kits tho.

It's only Logical.. But then again, EA's EURO 2008 was Licensed and still the Netherlands didn't had Neither Faces or Names. So..

It just fees "cheap" to play with Unedited Players; Van Nistelrooy with some Cheap-Random Face.. I'd rather play with any other team. At least, PES haves a LOT of faces, just something a few consider.

yeah agreed....to me fifas grafix jsut arent that good i guess i always liked PES grafix more for some reason....idk but hey amateur i gotta tell u some for real but not on the forums itll spread too fast but u will like it i promise.

Since united a liverpool are liscened anyway chelsea and arsenal will be the 3rd and 4rth licened englsih teams. ( If the Champions leage is fully licened that is)

Maybe Konami are waiting for the Chapions League qualifying rounds to end so as to confirm the liscence because it may tie into which teams are proper and which are not....

For example, if Liverpool get knocked out in the next league, it may affect the liscencing of the team so until the 27th August they may be unable to share this info..

I think Liverpool knew they'd be licensed ages ago, hence the PES 2009 ad-boards appearing at Anfield earlier (to my knowledge) than everyone else.
