This is a message to Konami, please pull your fingers out....

An example of their lazyness....On pes5 on ps2 we had 34 stadiums, then when pes2008 (dont get me started) comes out on ps3 with blue-ray discs (with 25Gb of space) were rationed with 15. THIS IS NEXT GEN..... UTILISE IT
We dont care if there not officially named call them red cauldren, or magpie park just give us a lot of em and we'll change the names, also kits, badges etc, if you cant get the licences at least let us edit the hell out of it give us unlimited edit power i.e a good sponsor kit maker editer !!!!!

Remember (i think pes4/5) at the kit selection screen when you could press O and mix the home shirt with away socks/shorts etc....great thinking, then next pro evo its gone never to return. Honestly its like your doing it on purpose!!!

Stop going back on yourselves we had stamford bridge in older games, you lose the licence and delete the stadium WHY!?!?!?!? KEEP IT AND CHANGE THE NAME then give us the option of changing it back!

YOUR SUPPOSED TO ADD TO GAMES AS THE SERIES PROGRESSES NOT TAKE STEPS BACKWARDS!!!

BUCK YOUR IDEAS UP

CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED

yeah you're definitely right. I think every stadium of the teams in the game needs a stadium, you can play in nou camp with catania as home team in ML! I can write more but I need to get some sleep now. Cheers! One more thing, every 5-star stadium MUST be in the game. Why do they got 5-star then? Only to bring spectators or supporters? Bah...

true mate every team should have their stadium, its got to that stage now were the consoles are powerful enough even if the discs arent big enough (which with 50gb dual lared blu-rays i doubt ) put em online n let us download em n put em on our hard drive....

very very very valid point, completely abysmal that next gen would mean less features, think it comes down to what seabass said last year that the production team is too small however no excuses they have the money and i think next year (PES 2010) they will add another 10-20 stadiums... LAZY LAZY KONAMI IS THE BEST WAY TO PUT IT... fingers crossed!

Topicstarter appears to be a little frustrated.

The points that the TS mentions are indeed missing but i am sure that some nice new stadiums will be available in PES 2009.

I think when people think of next-gen games its to do with steps towards more realism and immersiveness...

In that respect, unfortunately I think Fifa are further down the next-gen road than PES as a whole, maybe not on gameplay tho..

They've added the collision detection aspect, better manuel passing and amazing graphics, as well as improving the gameplay...

I dont think Konami or us fans can deny whats infront of our faces, irrespective of liscences or what not, PES should be closer in the race with FIFA....

I fear that EA are soon gonna do a Usain Bolt on Konami...

its not a case of lazyness, its a case of theres only so much they can fit in every year, im sure 99% of the workers also have a social life and dont work on the game 24/7. sports games are the only games that need an updated release every year and so they are the only game that must meet strict deadlines, and becuase of this progress is slow. for example they would have to have remade the stadiums from scratch, i think 15 is a fine number, its not limited its a nice variety, sure there could and will be more as they add to these in the coming years, but at the end of the day im sure stadiums wasnt that high in there priorities for the first few next gen releases. theres alot id like to see in the game doesnt make em lazy coz its not there, i mean how long did konami spend making the MGS series and they are very polished and always got miles better (gameplay wise not storywise!) this is becuase they werent rushed to a deadline like PES.

If the work load is too much, then surely they should be recruiting more people to expand their team? As a business they seem pretty slow to react...

Im sure Mr Kipling doesnt work in a small bakery somewhere making exceedingly good cakes with just a few people? (you know what I mean)...

Maybe Konami are paying out too many bonuses and dividends... :p

I know you're right. I HATE IT FOR THE LACK OF STADIUMS.

Yeah, it's kind of contradicting that Next Gen Games actually have LESS Stadiums.. but honestly, Stadiums are Hugely Overrated in Football Sims. I mean, Who notices a Stadiums Shape and Structure during Gameplay?? Rather than including more Stadiums, they (Konami) could include better things.

For one thing, I hate the fact that FIFA has already started to include Fully Edited Classic Players into their game; Franco Baresi, Franz Beckenbauer, Er¡c Cantona, Zico, and a few others..

It's even more annoying knowing that the PES series was the 1st one to include "Classic Players", but of course the Classic Players included in PES look cheap and random, who cares about them?? And honestly, Why bother to include "Classic Players" IF they are Not even going to look like their real-life counterparts used to look?? Konami shouldn't waste their time on such a disgraceful addition.

Wich leads me to say that, yeah, FIFA is no doubt an arcade game.. I personally know that because I tried FIFA08 out and after 2 hours I was bored, I didn't even touched the game again. But something I did Noticed is their little details, such as the things to "Unlock" (equivalent to "PES Shop") are properly done, their Classic Players are fully edited, just as it should be.. But unfortunately the Gameplay is boring and Unrealistic.

I think Konami are obviously Lazy in certain aspects, we know those "Aspects" don't regard the Gameplay.. maybe Konami should ALSO improve in the Details; The PES Shop, the Main Menu, the seemingly Unimportant Details.

I think core elements need to be adressed....

As I said, next-gen is perceived as a closer realism within the games, so PES need to drastically improve on atmosphere, time changing within a match(dusk-night time transition), better collisions, shirts that becomed untucked, motion capture for gamplay etc....

Untill these are adressed, the game will be far from a true next-gen prospect...

I guess that goes for all sports games.
