Also which fifa was this? i agree, all fifas except fifa 08 have been poor and play like how you describe it, but fifa 08 was truly the next gen of fotball games. Ive never been able to sprint across the whole pitch unless Im playing against my mum.

Fifa has worked so much on the game, theyve made 250 improeveents based on what fans wanted. They havent been afraid to post as man gameplay videos as possible. I have seen lots og PES gameplay vids and no Im not a fanboy, but I just feel PES is still behind.

From what I've seen, FIFAs graphics and lighting makes it look more like a scene from a movie rather than a football match on T.V. That may just be me though, I don't know. FIFA may have more flash than PES, but for me it's all about the substance. If FIFA has surpassed PES, gameplay wise, this year I will gladly buy FIFA instead. I'm going to have to wait and play both games myself before deciding which I prefer. I must admit FIFA has looked promising this year, but if it doesn't deliver in the gameplay department, I won't be getting it.

PES arcade? Perhaps 2008 yes, but all the other versions have been more realistic than FIFA.

And when I say realistic I mean things like ball handling, shots, how the ball moves etc etc. Not things like Ronaldo having a fart before he shoots, the small insignificant details FIFA seems to be so caught up with. And again, I'm not talking about 2008.

Fifa 07 you could sprint past everyone but i've played Fifa 08 with my mates too. You get sent off way too easy, the camera angles are shocking and the ablity for you to pick up the ball and skin every in their team is just silly.
PES may lack in leagues and team names etc, but the gameplay for PES has always been better. Sorry mate, thats just the way i feel. Plus, the guide you get for PES2008 is the best guide i have ever seen, interviews with Seabass and stuff behind the game as well as a fantastic video with commentary which is SOOOOOO helpful for ANY PES player. The guy commentating on it was great as well. I just seems as if all Fifa can boast is looking great with a few unique but negligable features. Sure PES may not be as aesthetically brilliant but as the back cover says,
"If Football is Your Life, Then PES (2008) is Your Game."

OK, now listen you silly tit. First of all gamespot are a bunch of corrupt knobheads (firing a guy after giving a game bad critics because the company who made it started to complain). And those quotes are taken from the 2008 reviews which most people agree isn't very good at all, however I still think the PREVIOUS PES games gameplay is far better simulation games. Yes, FIFA got the graphics and license, but not the "feel", realism and simulation.
