I play a lot of football actually and yes pierre, they do leave a mark in the turf, but what I am saying is that they dont petrude 100% into the ground. If that was the case, imagine how hard it would be to get them out. Obviously the softer/wetter the pitch the more they dig into the ground, so on a really wet surface it would go 100% into th ground but on a dry normal surface, it would dig in enough to provide grip. I mean, you are playing on turf, not mud.

Anyway, you are now picking on another thing from fifa because you know there actualy isnt anything wrong with the player models in fifa 08 apart from the face.

Yes but the Face remains more Important than the Body, doesn't it??

A good looking Model is worthless with a crappy-looking Face topping it.

And again, it's all a matter of Opinion.. as I don't see How Wayne Rooney (in FIFA08) had better Body Proportions than Ronaldinho (in PES08).

I agree the face is way more important as the player models in PES anyway, can be edited and adjusted to the players taste...

I think it was PES 5 or 6 where the models were stocky and in editing forums, they were always adjusted to make them more proportional in torso length etc

amateur, can you honestly tell me that when playing the game in whatever view you do that you can see 100% detail to high resolution of the face of say Rooney? No, but you can see the player model clearly. The face only becomes apparent on a replay and even then it's all about how the body moves. I agree totally, that the face is something fifa needs work on but the player models are getting to almost perfect. Have you seen Luke Young's face in pro evo? I would say only 5% of the players in pro evo are lifelike, then you get luke young looking black?!

lol a pes fan was going on about pes having better player models. Well Ive found two screenshots of player models from the internet and clearly fifa has the better player models too.

And of course fifa 09 has the better gameplay as shown countless times. You probably are happy with your windows 95 too.

how can yo comment on gameplay without playing either... you can't comment on shit... just say I read that its better..

but hey man, you own the truth... I actually use Mac, that might tell you wot kind of person I am, also I'm 30, I've been playing fifa and ISS when you were just a tickle in your poppa's nutsac...

now if you think that the gameplay in fifa 08 was better than PES 08.. you've been buying into the propaganda your communist government is feeding you... and I have no argument, because you've obviously convinced yourself it's the best, and now you want to shove it down our throats... you'd make a great religious zealot, chum(p)!

It's all a matter of Opinion. Maybe you prefer seeing better Player Models from Wide Cameras -whereas- I enjoy it more whenever I score a Goal or something, and when the Camera closes up on the player -the- player actually looks like himself.

Anyways, you have a valid Point -as- FIFA does looks better from Wide Cameras, wich is how we play the games for Most of the Time.

FIFA haves to improve on the Faces -and- PES haves to improve on looking better from Wide View angle.

It's pretty obvious that pes has better player models and faces. Pes have to improve on stadiums though.

Right, just tried FIFA 08 yesterday and compared to PES 2008 I found it way better, but I do know that PES 2008 was possibly the worst in the series. However, I'm for the first time in 6 years very unsure which game I'm going to purchase, I will probably have to wait for the demos.

One of the things I love about PES is the Master League, developing players etc. Can anyone tell me about a similar mode in FIFA please? :)

Where the fuck do you live if 2 games cost you £120 ?

UK is ridiculously expensive and overpriced, but a new game only costs around £40.

<--- Norwegian, the UK is cheap compared to our prices.

Chinaman: How many seasons can you play, any restrictions? Are there player development like in PES? Where you can get young and cheap players which you can train into very good ones?

kiruk, ive not really played the career mode much but you get experience points to improve your players and you can buy young players and get them to very good ones. ie. a player who starts off with an overall of 55 could reach 90+. ie. ronaldo who starts off on 90 can reach 99.

Sounds good. Unless there is a noticable difference on the PES demo from the 2008 version, I might just get FIFA this year. :)

Kiruk do like I do. Order from the net. After a week or 2 a game has been released, you'll take it half price (very big sale). Awesome isn't it. That's why I'm gonna get both. Usually around 25 sterling each game. So you'll get both for 50. Bargain isn't it. The site I use is GAME.UK. They're awesome. After 3 days the game willl be delivered to your doorstep.

Sounds like an idea. Even though I'll have to pay 25% tax on it and shipping, it probably still will be cheaper.
