i just played jleague we08 cc and it is a piece of junk. konami screwed it up as they have been doing since after the release of we 9 and pes 5.

after that, the fast players started to dominate the game by making easy unchallenged runs and dribling.

pes 7, pes 08 and all the versions of winning eleven after we 9 are simply not fun and are sort of ridiculous how easy it is for fast players so score and win games by themselves.

i lost my faith in konami i really hope that ea brings out a better title than konami cause i think this should be the only way to put konami back on track.

actually i agree with you hoping fifa 09 will be better.. that way konami will start major changes (good changes i hope)

I'm not a fifa fanboy, the last fifa game i bought was fifa98.. so dont kill for saying that i wish fifa09 to be better than pes09

OMFG i have just watched the fifa 09 trailer on the 360 and i put my hand on my heart, hope to die, put a candle in my eye, i have never ever! seen a shitier trailer for a game in my life!

The graphics were barely passable for ps2. I cant express the joy of watching this horrific piece of garbage. What makes it even better is the fact pes's trailer looked quality compared to fifa's.

I hear non stop crap about how fifa is great and they cant even get the trailer to a sub par standard let a lone a kick arse game. Fifa COULD be a good game, who knows but pes will always be better.

I agree. and in my opinion fifa games in general up to now have never really been any good compared to pro evo. on occasion ive bought fifa due to the earlier release date, hoping that it might be a bit of fun before pes comes out, only to get bored after half a season in the career mode. pes games just seem to have that knack of luring you back to them, making for much better value for money. all recent fifa titles seem to get boring after a week or two of playing them.. of course that might change this year. who knows...

I agree with you.. when someone borrows me fifa i get bored in a while, i got excited creating the career but found nothing after a couple of days. Anyway, i always hope fifa have a major improvement.. If the competition is good you should see konami will wake up.

Even so, I'm getting pes09 and not fifa.. maybe download it to test it but nothing more

laughable attempt to put down fifa. Ever thought that this might be a cgi and not in game graphics? Did you see the pes 09 trailer. That was awful. It's a trailer ffs!!!! how desperate an attempt is that having a go at a trailer. The trailer is a promotion of the game. But the in game graphics have been shown many times in gameplay videos if you are bothered to check on youtube. Anyway, the graphics werent bad either. Clearly another fanboy pes fan.

It's funny you should say "it's a trailer ffs!!!!," because in a post made by you just yesterday I believe (I read it yesterday anyway) you were putting PES down saying how a defender "just stands there" while Messi heads the ball in from a cm off the ground in the trailer.

see the reallity. IF KONAMI wants return on victory he needs create a NEW engine with overall new gameplay. becouse FIFA are steps away.
You can see in ALL PES forums most members talking about FIFA 08 and FIFA 09 becouse they are great. There are PES FUNS that disapoint with Last years PES games but you cant accept this.

Most of you dont care if gameplay of PES 2009 will be same with PES 2008. You will buy this! insane! KONAMI laugh with you and you pay them!

but the funny thing is, that happens in pro! players do head the ball in from 2 yards out and 10 cm off the ground when the keeper parries a shot straight into his path when he should have saved it and caught it.

But the trailer in fifa 09 is clearly just to show off the skills and movements in an exciting way. The graphics arent bad but in no way represent the actual in game graphics as most people will have seen from gameplay videos released of in game footage.

Anyway, shouldnt you be more worried about your own trailer which was lifeless, and awful. At least the fifa one grabs your attention, the pro evo one was just a bore.

First of all. The only people who want a new engine are the people who are not fans of the series

2nd of all. I don't know if you have seen the FIFA trailer but when Ribery falls to the ground and he makes this aaaa sound like it's some kinda porno movie then I have no idea what you mean by steps away.

The reason people talk about FIFA08 and FIFA09 was because they were let down by KONAMi, cause overall PES2008 was a dissapointment. And that's what we pes fans do we talk about FIFA. The onlyy thing FIFA fans do is bash PES

ok i did go off my head talking about the trailor but i was hungry and tired. Not a good combo. Obviously it was almost 100% CGI but compared to pes's it was nothing. Pes's graphics look so much better and crisper. The skin colour mainly was dredful on the fifa trailor.

Pes doesnt need 'a new engine'. What are its problems? Not alot of annimation and only 8 way movement. Maybe you say stats but their perfectly fine and cover EVERYTHING whether you notice it or not. Im sure they can do those things without having to build a new engine

Pes' engine is good the way it is. In 08 the game wasn't good. I think this will be however.
