And Konami are earning shite loads from the PES series therefore they will be around for many years to come. Good thing or not

If Pes 5 was updated and tweaked, nothing will compare to it as it was the pewrfect football game. Konami reached the best simulation that games can reach in Pes 5 and if you update it and makes new moves and shooting, it will be the best.

It was a great game, but in all Honesty.. it haves a Long way to go to be considered "perfect". It can Improve much more, at this pace, I'm guessing we'll get to see that by 2015..

Anyways, an Updated version of PES5 would be great for 2009.. But I'm guessing PES09 will be a version of PES5 with Updated Graphics.

MONEY......anyway we got the Champions League and the top four teams from the EPL with it.....and the top teams of La Liga.

Yes, But what Most of us want to know is IF the Licensed Chelsea and Arsenal will be Implemented into the Master League -and- of course IF the UEFA Champions League will be implemented to the ML.

If they are Implemented to the ML -then- great.. But if Not, then why so much fuzz about it??

In that we agree, FIFA has not come close to PES5 in terms of Gameplay..

However, I don't see Why Konami is still in PES5 -even- when we have Next Gen Consoles.. I mean, shouldn't Next Gen Consoles offer New Possibilities??

The way I see it, PES09 should be a version of PES5 -but- it should offer a Few Significant New Improvements such as; New Stats and Special Abilities, New Controls, New Dribbling Moves, New Defensive Moves (Tackles, etc, etc), etc, etc..

That would be great in my opinion -However- a version of PES5 with only Graphical Updates is Not good enough.. Konami can do better -and- at least I expect to see something New and Improved in the Controls or Stats.

Yeah I agree, however Pes 5 will still be updated. It had bad tackiling (defending) and few dribbling skills. They did improve on pes 6 and 08, so they will be in 09 too. So Konami will slightly improve on Pes5. I hope so.
