Actually I'm aware of a couple of games companies who do exactly that - people are employed to visit "opposing" forums and make a series of posts about how the game made by their employers is better than the rival game.

ok that explains alot because the effort it takes to go up against all the members from a site just to convince them that the product they like sucks just had to involve some compensation.

But then you're just going down to their level.

For all we know, the reason chinaman joined and posted the shit he did was because of a PES fan going onto a Fifa forum saying that their game was shit. If you did go ahead and go it, it wouldn't be long before another chinaman character started posting, and then it's just an everlasting circle of shit.

i wouldn't really. i've got better things to do (like read the phonebook?) but come on, dont you get pissed off with hearing about fifa. dont get me wrong, i'm all for free speech an all that i just really dont care about the game. i may look online for info on it but i come to this site for my fix of much needed pes info not info on fifa. the only reason there is a possible comparison between the two is cos pes let the lead slip, not cos fifa caught up. hopefully the new release will reset the balance
