Welcome everybody :D

As editing on the PC is not constrained by the edit mode in the game itself, this thread is a place where PC players can get information and advice on using the many third party utilities and patches that make the PC version of the game unique. Of course, feel free to discuss the in-game edit mode too. :)

I just want to check, this may be slightly off-topic but, as last year's PC game was next-gen, this one will be too, right?

A PC game can never be "next-gen". It is simply a term used to differentiate between the current crop of consoles and those now not top-of-the-range.

That said, Konami (unlike EA) give us the same level of detail that the 360 and PS3 get which is what the real question is. We have superior hardware to both consoles due in no small part to the speed at which the PC hardware industry has been moving for the 12 to 18 months.

Yeah of course, is patching the PC version difficult ? what do u need ?

AFS Explorer and that's probably about it. It opens the BIN files to show you the contents and allows you to copy over those files with the ones in the patch you download.

Fine... But I'll google it ^^

Haha. I've applied patches to PES2008 so I know it definitely works. The BIN files are inside the IMG files and I've not done it for a while, hence my mistake.

All patches tend to come with explicit instructions anyway so it should never be an issue.

Actually, I have applied patches to PES 2008 too, but using Game Graphics Studio. I actually asked how do I create a patch, editing deep inside the .bin files...

Cheers Mr Sweeney Man, I heard a whisper that the PC game this time around was going to be on a similar level to the PS2 game...much happier now :D

As the demo is out on the PC, has anyone tried to import any of the .img files into AFS Explorer? I know its just come out and everyone wants to play it for a while first like. :)
