maan i want to get heard so i opened this thread ! i played PS 09 DEmo yesterday. And i cant stop playing it all day .First i had played Fifa demo and i thought it cant get better than that ... but Pes 09 gave me so much fun playing. I dont know anything .. graphics , gameplay style whatever , I m just having fun playing it !!.. everything is so polished and really looks like im watching a real game on TV. God Bless Pes !

Trust me, the Fifa demo can be different, because it is.
It's an amazing game, and miles better than the PES 2009 demo in my opinion. Now obviously, I'll still buy PES 2009 in the hope that their full game will be streets ahead of the demo, like Fifa's.
its not that im easily impressed , i have my reasons but i rounded it all up by saying it just feel nice playing PES .. here is the comparison i found between fifa and pes 09
I work on 3d graphics industry as a 3d modeler and visualizer i cant say big talks about gameplay but i certainly know how the graphics look like in both fifa 09 and PES 09.
as for gameplay , actaully i liked PES very much and i liked fifa also but couldnt play fifa cause i couldnt play it well cause fifa doesnt support my state of art xfx Xgear duel shock analog controller.
but as u can see my signature i have the best computer rig in terms of graphics capability and i played both games with highest of settings. my verdict is ...
Fifa Is on the right track to becoming a great game from graphical point of view but fifa didnt give attention to the details. Players faces are better than fifa 08 but the lighting isnt that great though its better than 08 by miles. but when i played the PES 09 the difference showed up in nacked eye.
1.Stadium - PES : flawless stadium ,at least the one i saw in demo , FIFA : stadiums lacks mroe works
2.Specterors : PES : Lovely , FIFA : Worst thing on fifa 09
3.Nets : FIfa: So poorly designed and so bad interaction with players and the ball
whereas in PES the nets are one the things to look
4 Players skin : Fifa got realistic face skins and hair but the body is terrible , the hands are so badly riged whereas in PES : looks really Next gen
5.Grass : PES : Just WoW FIFA : the less said the better.it mroe looks like a peddy field which covers only the behind goalkeeper cam and just the forground of the camera. the length is so long it looks like a peddy field
6.Depth of Field ( DOF) : PES : This is i call the perfect use of DOF , helps so nicely to focus something even in replays ... FIFA09 : they used it to hide the paper like crowd and it doesnt look like REAL world DOF , more like it looks like blurring out the background indiscriminately. pathetic !
7.Lights : PES looks like you are watching a game on TV. the Perfect use of HDR ( high dynamic range image lighing ) the shadows are so sweet that even the ball ar evisiable with its smallest details even in replays and u can confirm it by zooming in however u like . FIFA : they tried to mimic realism but Long way to go. but its much better than Fifa 08
8.Antialising : FIFA : the models look like they are made of saw blades. its so ragged and u feel the need of antialising so badly in FIFA. The crowd looks even worse just because of it. and the nets .. the less said the better (
PES : every edge is soo smooth and u dont need to do any antialising manually , it takes care of it automatically
Gamplay : PES : i have been playig it since morning and i just wanna play it another 6 min. its so addictive and the demo 6 min is not enough. the animations are so lifelike u get the sense there is a soul in PES that fifa lacks.i mean even the cristiano ronaldo runs like him . he takes penalty like him .. like stops a bit and takes the penalty . so authentic look and feel .The players animations sometimes makes your mouth open.ITs the closest thing to real football
FIfA : I liked FIFA gameplay a lot specailly the new gameplay and control system. its much more interesting than 08. i played more with mouse and it was fun. But it shame i couldnt enjoy it fully because fifa doesnt support controllers and u have to know proramming if you want to use controller .in pes the controller works so neatly
COnclussion :
PES : The complete package . Everything is so organised and polished and give you a feeling it deserved to be bought.
FIFA :Better than fifa 08 but yet to go long way.

Ok dude, Fifa is not that great, PES 2009 to me is better, and if you expect that the full game of PES 2009 will be different, then, don't even bother in buying it, because the game will be almost exactly the same, with just a little adjustments here and there, but that demo will play like the full game.

The nets in pro evo are a bit crap. they seem miles too stretchy and in one game i played a player went running into the goal and stretched the net right back to near the boards behind it which looked very unrealistic.
in fact i liked it very much . specaily when players just hang over those nets looks perfectly Ok. ya its a bit streatchy but it feels nice when u score
at least better than fifa 09 where u cant see the nets well for the lack of antialising. the fifa net patch make the nets made of steel which doesnt react well with the ball. so i think its perfectly Ok

I don't really "expect" it, I'm just hopeful. I wasn't too keen on buying Fifa after playing the demo. To me it felt like a quicker 08 with a collision system. The full game is much more than that, which is where I got my theory about the full PES game playing better than the demo.
I mean, I liked the demo as said in the feedback thread, but there were quite a lot of little niggles that really should've been fixed. If they are for the full game, then I'm sure we'll have two great football games to play this year, which can only set us up for a brilliant 2010.
EDIT: eshangfx, have you seen the way the nets react in Fifa 09? They're brilliant. White, too, which makes a change from the horrible looking steel/grey ones. I'll admit, the nets in Fifa 09 sometimes react a little TOO much, but on the whole they're excellent.

first of all .. the look of the net of fifa is totally disgusting .. u cant see if its a net or a spider web ( thanx to lack of anti alising) ya u can fix it a bit by modding but after applying the parch/mod the nets looks like a mosquito net not a soccer net
the interaction with the ball .. when the ball touches the net only that portion moves and the rest of the net remains like a steel cage. and i havent seen players falling onto the nets while trying to make a head and how they react holding the nets as it happens in Pes , and it creates a ripple effect on the net as it should be .. its really lifelike ... in fifa noone of those are present.
