Why such a fuzz about the "CL badges"?? I mean, we have the Champions League "Match Ball" and "Intro Music" -wich- are the most Noticeable Details about the CL.

I wouldn't count on it pal... I think only reason the Scouse have got Carlsy on there shirt is cos they have been unveiled as official partners of PES. I don't even think Gers or Celtic have got Carling on there shirts in FIFA. Don't think its got anything to do with it being alcohol, that would be ridiculous, just recon it is another stupid licensing problem that Konami always seem to face.

champions league mode still looks like a lazy effort,the number fonts on the back of the liverpool kits are the prem numbers not the adidas champions league numbers. whats the point of getting a licence when konami cant even do it properly

If the UCL mode isn't totally authentic, then like you say it's a waste of money Konami bothering getting the license and putting on the game cover to boast. They can't boast if it isn't completely licensed and authentic :lol::mellow:

I think it has got something to do with it being alcohol to be honest. Up here, kids replica shirts don't have the Carling Logo's on them anymore and I think it could even end up like in F1 where tobacco and booze can't be advertised.

yeah it's certainly to do with alcohol and nothing else, in F1 games al the tobacco and booze logo's are left out. It will be against laws to advertise alcohol to minors, that's the way some people sees it, otherwise if they want to include all the logos carling etc. then the age restriction must go up. It's seriously toss, i know...but thats the crazy world we live in.

cant wait for this game. still seams YEARS off. oh. does anyone know if you can qualify for the champions league through the ml or whether you can put edited teams in it. cos that was the biggest letdown of last years game for me

So why is Carlsberg on the Liverpool shirt then? Surey if Rangers & Celtic can't have Carling on there shirt then the same rule sould apply to the Carlsberg logo ?? (I am glad it has been included tho, kit would look shit without it).

By the way I picked up this translated quote from a spanish magazine that gave PES 2009 a 92/100. I don't have a link Im afraid but this is something they pointed out:

"all 32 CL teams have full kits and names"

Now we know from screenshots that Chelsea don't usually have their normal kit, but it looks like they may well in the CL mode.

Quick question: Will the champions league be incorporated into the Master League as the european tournament equivalent? Would make it more authentic if it did.........
