Nobody can help you properly without you giving detailed hardware specs of your PC.

ehsancgfx, what's the obsession with suggesting people install to a different drive as the first point of resolution? You must've suffered numerous hard drive failures in your time

U better to buy a PS3 or 360 to play :)

Never stray from a PC.

it does work in lot of the time u know .. sometime the directory u install the game reported as corrupted reg entry

But if that's happening you've likely got a RAM issue or incorrect file handling set on your CD/DVD drive (causing read issues and therefore corrupt writes) as opposed to a failing hard drive as the latter is a constant and not intermittent.

Do you have the latest graphic AND sound drivers? Are there any conflicts showing under Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager?

Try to mess with different resolutions, vsync... just a dumb thought...

Check if you have something wrong listed in the last tab of the settings...

You do have the latest version of DirectX?

It's hard to say what it is...

I'm having a similar problem too.
I can't enter any match, everytime I try to play, the game closes down right after the loading screen, and the mesage only says that there an error and the program must be closed down.

My computer specs:
CPU: Intel Q9450
VGA: ATi 4870
RAM: 4G DDR2
HD: 500G SATA2 and with more than 80G of free space in the disk PES is installed.
OS: windowsXP SP3 32bit
No overclocking.

I've updated all drivers and also updated DirectX, I've tried two disks and tried all resolutions.

Do anyone know how to slove this?

New patch coming for "Pro Evolution Soccer 2009" PC version

We have discovered a problem within the PC version of "Pro Evolution Soccer 2009", which affected the stability of various modes in game. The problem has been analyzed and are confirming that a patch will be released on Thursday the 23rd of October 2008.

In the meanwhile we suggest that players who may be affected switch their resolutions to 1280*720 or lower in order to circumvent any sort of instability.

We would like to offer our most sincere apologies to all who have been affected by this, and wish all players lots of fun with PES 2009!
