Konami playing safe

Having played the demo I think Komani have played it safe and with FIFA getting better Konami cannot release a game that is like PES 09 next year even though PES 09 is a great game the way FIFA is evoulving it will leave PES in the water if PES 10 is anything like PES 09.

I dont think a radical cahnge is needed but espiecally with the PS3 and xbox360 Konami need to use it full power and make the best game possible in the Pro Evo Style. One neede improvement is the responsivness, FIFA is a lot more responsive thge PES so that will need to be worked

What I have found is PES lets you do what you want eithier taking players on playing long balls or pass the ball round. Having played FIFA alot I can say I have not run more than 20 yards with the ball but with Messi on PES I can.

That is why i like PES it is like a stress reliever as sometimes playing FIFA you get frustated with losing the ball and not being able to do things that you want to do.

Overall both games will be excellent for everyone no matter what you like, the bgraphics and realism of FIFA or the Enjoyment and Fun you get with PES

So Please Konami do not release PES 10 if it is like PES 09 you will get destroyed if FIFA improves as much as it has done this year

this was the overriding disappointing factor with pes 2008 and i hope pes 09 is the sim it should be. I want to be frustrated and struggle to win.

It was said on the WENB Podcast that Seabass has siad his does not want PES to be a simulation but something people can pick up a play and do want they want so they enjoy it

Seabass: One side of that is true because I get the feeling that FIFA is trying to implement a lot of the stuff that we do, making it more of a simulation. However, we never set out to make PES a simulation -- that was never our intention. Basically, we want to satisfy as many users as we can, both core and casual gamers, and that has always been our goal. No matter what FIFA does that will always be our goal.

I think fifa is going totally messed up. go to Fifa forum and everyone is hating it except bling fifa followers , ya im a pc gamer and im talkign about PC. so acaully the fact that there is nothing new except brushed faces and they are calign it next gen graphics , they couldnt give us a decent net , crowd , lighting or at least basic antialising .. and all are complaining the gamepla to be monotonous except fifa fanboys. i think konami did a great job as huge nubmer of FOFA fans have been converted to PES

If that's true, then JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, he's a moron. He had a winning formula and just had to add a few tweaks but instead he's changed everything we all loved about the game. Oh man.

I hope PES09 is an improvement though because I really can't see me playing Fifa all year - it's really not all that either imo.

PES 09 will be a great game this year but anything like that next year and PES will flop so not radical cahnges are needed but a few touch ups to basic aspects such as animations, goalkeepers, player physics

I like PES... IMO the trickstick on fifa still feels like fifa street, I think that whole notion of moves to do a trick better as a button combo than moving the stick... (the only thing I miss is the flick up) the ball especially during the tricks feels like its stuck to ur feet...

Pes 2009 competes with Fifa this season and the 4 year Champions league deal only adds to that, although i adit it is far from perfect.

I have to say that I really liked the PES 09 demo...


If I find that FIFA is still the same poop as it was in 05 or 06 or whatever it was, I promisse I'll create like 500 threads saying FIFA is crap...

fifa 2009 shooting is very easy compared to PES shooting.

if fifa gets shooting right and continues to improve in all other areas like they have this year... then wow PES is gonna be in trouble.

also be helpful if FIFA copy master league more... forget real money cos fees will be too unrealistic on a game...
