Konami have got to realise that if the PES 2009 online function doesn't work properly, that FIFA is going to leave them in the dust as far as sales go. Despite the gameplay still being far better on Pro Evo (although i have only played the demos), online modes are deal clinchers for gamers nowadays, and Fifa kicks Ev's ass in this department. Hopefully Seabass the slacker understands this and gives us a quality online experience, even upping the number of players who can be in a game, if that's possible after release. In a dream world i'd want 6v6 (CPU controlled defence). This would be on a par, if not better, than the 10v10 of Fifa.

fifa can carry on kicking pes arse in the online department as i would rather konami focus on other aspects such as stadiums and the gameplay. I would actually swap online for more stadiums

I'm not too bothered about official stadiums (generally you dont see much of them anyway whilst playing), i just want a game that plays well and enables me to play against people online without ridiculous amounts of lag making it a pointless venture. If the online mode and become a legend are good, this game will be the best of the series

They need more stadiums which have stands on the touchline for you to be truely immersed in the gameplay. All their stadiums have the running pitch around them and i cant even see the fans so whats the fuking point in there even being a stadium

If the gameplay is good(which i am sure it will be) then it will be the best.

Personally I've always hated online play, much prefer REAL mates playing PES against me, having a beer all night long, that the true joy of the game because no 2 matches or goals feel the same, in Fifa it gets too repetitive. I'd rather that than play against some cheap 13 year old arse or a disconnecting prick. Maybe i'm just too retro, or maybe I'm just not a huge fan or the whole online trend, I didnt mind it on PC back in the day, Counterstrike, AVP, Unreal etc but not on consoles.

good points, i agree with a lot of what you say. Personally, i much prefer playing against mates but, as all of my mates and myself work 40 hour weeks and go to the football one day of the weekend, i often find that none of them are around when i find a couple of spare hours to play pro. At these times i would generally rather play someone decent online than simply beat the computer yet again

Also, me and my best mate like to think we're pretty good at the game (we arent world beaters but tend to beat everyone else that we know quite easily) and it will be good if they can actually get online tournaments so that you can have some idea of how you really compare to some of the top players around, the computer simply isnt enough of a challenge

Play PES6 -against- the Computer, but play against a Team in which all the players have the Stats on 99 and all the Special Abilities.. that should give you an idea of How Good you are.
