when i played on it i lasted like 70 mins...another reason y a stopped playing this mode. This mode is trash compared to the fifa version, on pes yu hardly recieve the ball n the trainin matches are soo boring. I love pes but konami are so far behind fifa on the legend mode

IMO the FIFA mode is shit. almost every time you ask for the ball your teammates try and give you the ball, even if you are in a shit position. I started a game in league 2 and was in the england squad before christmas. It only lasts 4 seasons. Your team only ever plays league games, even if they win the league there is no champions league matches. Generally it is just ridiculously unrealistic compared to PES2009s version.

Yes, pro is frustrating, my player has fairly bad stats and his shooting is unrealistically poor and he isnt improving much at all but overall it is much, much more realistic. I might not start banging goals in until i'm 21, but that isnt too bad, i'll still have plenty of years to become Sunderlands all time greatest goalscorer!

Please quote me saying that, I'd love to see how far you get and what you find.

You don't understand football. Simple as. Any PES or FIFA is NOT A SIMULATION. They are games, and games they will stay. Using a control to kick a imaginary football is not realistic. maybe if you was controlling 1 player in first person view, then that could maybe be classed as a simulation.

But once again you have lost the plot :fplm:

its simulating the game read up on it and do your homework seabass is quated many atime over the years calling it the perfect football simulation as have many others
as for my understanding of football.........yes.......yes i do understand it
the point is its ment to give a realistic take on the game which is what pes was well renowned for wer as fifa gave us some crappy arcade crap

so no i havent lost the plot :fplm:

How lol?

You can ask for the ball not knowing your surroundings, but the person with the ball can see everything. Meaning it is up to the person with the ball to make the correct pass whether you ask for the ball or not.

cmon i'm usin SOME short text, grow up, only you complainin for some reason, and its in english as far as i acn see :w00t

as for not knowing your surroundings? you dont see thru the guys eyes! the camera gives a good view of whats goin on around you so if the guy plays a risky pass, move to it end of and try and play it to another pkay best you can or hold it up, not every pass is gonna be perfect, or dont you understand football :fplm:

Stop the bickering guys. Each game's mode has its pros and cons. Just enjoy whichever one you want to and stop fighting. This is the PES BAL thread so let us keep the discussion focussed on that.

Got my first start for Napoli. Wahey.

Lets get this thread back on track.

Does the match experience (calling it MEP from here :p) gained depend on difficulty? When I started playing matches for the first team I got a decent amount of MEP in balance, jump and defense and some in the remaining skills - but now, almost half into 2nd season, I get nothing to very little even in close matches. Also, Im guessing theres no way to increase the stats that doesnt show up after matches (like condition/fitness, weak foot ect) - is that right?

I really love this mode - its so addictive. I wouldnt mind a bit more secondary football before getting into the first team though - such as playing actual reserve/youth matches where you play agianst even players but I guess thats a bit too much to ask for. ;)

aye but you know how it is, you stand around for ages whilst the other team attack and when you get the ball you just cant resist asking for the pass! to be fair, it might be silly asking for the pass when in a poor position but any sensible player would just ignore you (as they do on pro), its even more silly for a professional footballer to try an impossible pass just because a 17 year old team mate asked them to!

No seriously that's not English.

Lol... You really have no brain... kal07 was saying how stupid someone was for calling an impossible pass... So! That's why I replied with that. I know you have a camera you thick twat. But what I said shows you how much more smarter the AI is! How they will look up (in their own way) and think for a second whether or not they can make the pass.

See, trying to teach kids is really brain fucking. But sooner or later they will get there in the end... Awww bless em!

No not really. Just bored of all the FIFA fanboys with no life.

I wouldn't mind for some reserve matches as well! But look at all the fuss people have kicked up with the training, Jesus Christ.

As for MEP you call it :p

I'm in my 3rd season I think, And they seem to be going up slower than when I first started off... But I think this is because your getting older maybe? Although the strength experience points seem to be going up the same. As for the check boxes and hidden stats, I think these will go up when your older. I'm hoping we can pick and choose.

Well, some guys on this forum are great at there PES! I didn't manage to score so may goals already. I've started with my player at Willem II, a Dutch club. After a lot of training matches I came on the bench and after a few matches I scored my first goal against my favorite club Ajax. That was on the last day before the first transfer period and I received some offers from different clubs. Chose for NEC Nijmegen and now I'm in the starting line up. Only scored one goal, because it's very difficult to score. And I'm very frustrated because my teammates usually don't play the ball when I wanted. Somebody got some tips for me about that ?

you have thinkin pes 2009 is football simulation and realism :fplm:

how can it be wen i no way does it play like pes 6
which was by far the most realistic footbal simulation

PES6 wasn't that realistic, I remember on Master League I signed Shaw and C Ronaldo, put them on the right and left wings respectively, and then every game all I had to do was pass it to them and they beat three players before belting it in from 30 yards.

GREAT TIP FOR BAL

I played my first full season for sunderland and a few average teams came in for me nantes hull and midd, I hate Newcastle and everything about them but decided to go there cos they were the highest ranking team. The best thing about it is that they had finished 5th the previous season and so were in the pre qualifying group for european champioship (champions league) which gives you 6 games we got through that stage so I now have another 6 games plus a good run in the league cup means already at the half way stage I have played more matches and trained more than the entire of last season meaning my stats will go up by double this year. It is worth looking for a team that will guarentee a mass of matches. Even when you are not in the first team you train when ever there is a match.

i was at sunderland and it took me about 10 games. remember youre a 17 year old with pretty average stats, it will take a while before they are confident enough in your ability to put you on the bench- its worth the wait though, it actually feels like an achievement when you break into the side, and when you score your first competitive goal it is immense! i love this mode
