official game of liverpool fc but why dosnt Pes have anfield in it?

i remember reading somewhere that both anfield and old trafford would be in pes 2009 and i find it a bit strange that its the official game of liverpool but yet anfields not in the game?!

I was thinking the same lol... They have the kits, players (missing a couple), couple chants (even though they don't sound like Liverpool fans) but WHERE IS ANFIELD? I was going through them all but I can't find one that would be Anfield, so I'm hoping these are added in the update. :)

because Konami were so busy concentrating on getting the online part perfect and ironing out all those problems with extensive testing.

Because Konami are fuckin wankers thats why. Must say that the game is pretty good & the edit mode makes up for everything the game lacks tho. Bit of a two faced comment I know. But Konami need to up the game further still & start repaying there fans loyal faith.

Well from the other threads on ere son, Konami aint done that either. Especially in context to the online. It don't bother me none to be honest. Only thing I use Pro Evo for is ML for personal use & tournaments when the lads are round.

i dont understand why they couldn't have replaced some of the fake stadiums with old trafford and anfield. If they have the licenses for the teams then surely the stadiums come with that as well. It isn't effecting my enjoyment of the game but it just irritates me that they advertise this and it isn't really true

yes i agree there should be a few english stadiums particularly of the licensed teams ( man utd and Liverpool), maybe they could do a patch ( although i doubt it)

It's also the official Champions League game, but they don't have every CL stadium.

tbh i dnt see why they have to be called an official anything lol liverpool or man utd dont advertise the game, and if thats the case then why aint pes the official game for serie A or Ligue 1?

Yea I see your point dude. They are just official partners. Konami have the rights to anything related to Liverpool FC & England, Wembley etc. Therefore Liverpool FC probably receive money for being associated with PRO EVO & Konami obviously get better advertisement from there brand being displayed on the LED boards around the pitch at Liverpool home games. Its just a marketing deal.

Manchester United are licensed but Old Trafford isnt in the game... nor was it on PES 6 for Xbox 360... its pathetic and lazy on Konami's part. But oddly Wembley is in the game?

Just pick 2 stadiums and name them Anfield and Old Trafford. You don't see much of the stadiums anyways :tongue:
