Online Tactics

Hey Guys

My team is Man Utd online, I use the standard 4-4-2 formation and tweak the directional arrows for player movementt in edit/formation.

Can anyone give me some good formations and tactics for playing online, I want to try and be a little harder to beat while maintaing my attacking threat. I'm debating going 3-5-2 to pack the midfield and put one of those midfielders on man marking/aggressive on the opponent danger player ie drogba. I do struggle with the AI on defence sometimes any help appreciated..

i wouldnt play 3-5-2
if anything you want to keep the back a solid 4
play a 4-3-3
and use stratagie, when on the defence(when opposition gain possession) use a
4-5-1 with rooney on his own upfront, the midfield will get packed up with your players and dominate the midfield

Play 2 formations.

One for when u have possesion.

and quickly switch to the other (using stratgey LT button) when you lose possession.

Attacking (with ball)

Back Line B
Offside B

Defense (without ball)
CB----CB----CB----CB
------DMF----DMF----- (DMFs MM Danger-Man i.e. Eto'o)

Offside Trap C

This one frustrates the hell out of the n00bs who only want to exploit the poor netcode and run right thru with Eto'o. etc. But be warned, the lag just has to kick in at the wrong time and Eto'o will barge, thumble, and tunble through your defense no matter what.

Hahahah.. Eto'o... my fav player. We should play online sometime.

Thanks Matt, I know how to assign the formations to the L2 button. I can see your formations but how do I know the exact postioning of the players.

I guess what I'm trying to say is are those formations preset so I can choose or have you tweaked. If you had a picture of the actual formation on your screen that would be awesome...

Oh what about the directional arrows on the formations.
