Football Manager 2009 [PC/Mac]

One of the nice new features in FM 09 is the press conference. I enjoyed it very much when I first play the game. But when it asks the same question, I feel pretty bored. So I decided to send my assistant to do the press conference. But one thing that I doesn't like is that my ass man fucked things up. He always comment things that makes my players' morale dropped. So I have to do it every time, entering the same answer. A bit variety would be nice to be honest.

So you prefer 08?

Nah, I'm playing 09 at the moment and the injury doesn't happen much to me and I really enjoyed it. It's addictive now to me!

Why would you wanna stick to playing football manager 08 may i ask? Injurys are a part of the game so you have to crack on with things. I can honestly say that yes i do get inurys but not that many. I agree with wan about the press conference, the same questions get annoying is there any way you can refresh them and get new one's?

Isn't Ronaldo out for about 7 months on the game anyway?

A bit of a bummer Redknapp is still at Pompey too, I thought the 9.01 patch would have fixed this.

Anyway, my brother managed to get his working this morning, so I'm going to try and install it a bit later myself. The 3D match engine is still rather shocking on his PC, despite it been "built for gaming." PC world's words, not mine. Looks like I'm sticking with 2D. That's if I get it to work at all..

Redknapp is at Tottenham on mine :eek:hmy:

Stick with 08. The injuries for a large number of users simply aren't realistic in any way whatsoever. It isn't worth taking the risk of you being one of those affected users when you have to activate the game and therefore probably can't just sell it on afterwards.

Gargh - I think the injury curse has suddenly come to me... Robbie Keane, Ivica Olic both out for 2 months, Martin Skrtel out for 5 months, and then a series of smaller injuries...

I have offered a contract to the 39 year-old Fernando Couto to cover for Skrtel for the rest of the season (or at least, be a back up to Carragher, Agger and Hyypia).

What an absurd statement given the detail in my post about injuries. Injuries are a part of the game but three enforced substitutions inside the first 45 minutes on more than one occasion when every player was over 95% fit before a game?? Three minor injuries in the first 45 minutes on those other occasions when again, everybody's condition was good?

Understand what level of injuries I'm talking about before dismissing the idea of FM09 being unplayable as there are a lot of other people experiencing something which is not part of the game. The level of injuries some of us are dealing with is ridiculous.

If you start picking up a new injury every game then yes, it has come to you as well. I'd played six league games with Milan and suffered over eleven injuries.

Is there a way of making my game run faster? Like i only want the game to generate the results in my League and thats it, so it will exclude the premiership and do that without so much effort and only concentrate it on the Championship? And then the season after only on the Premiership and not the championship :p etc.

if you catch my drift.

No. You can only set those sort of parameters by country not by division.

I was just wondering whether it was value for money. As every year see's minor changes, never a change to the whole system.

The good thing about Championship Manager was that it was named after a year, except in the years that saw significant change to the system - then it was just a number. I played the first ever one with a 2D pitch (4?) all the time...

I remember playing the old Championship Manager on the Atari.

In my first ever season, i remember winning the league with Liverpool with only 1 away win.

Is it my managerial abilitys or is this year's Football Manager extremely hard?

Don't all attack me if it's just me but i don't know who to start a season with as my Wigan one crashed when i didn't save it and i was very far so i'm after starting a new one but don't know who with.
