1) Cos you got shooting on assisted mate, play the game again, set shooting to Manual, then come back and talk about the ball always going in.

2) Heading on FIFA actually involves TIMING mate, holding down square half an hour before the ball arrives at your head, and the ball going in the bottom corner (PES 2008 AND 9), isnt realistic.

But its your opinion and you are welcome to it.

I never use International teams, and I definitely wouldn't play an International team against a Club team.

I usually go teams like Napoli, Standard Liege and AZ Alkmaar. Teams with not a lot of pace, but can play a great passing game.

I know what damage can happen if the user just gets the ball to their most dangeous player and run at goal, I've seen it and had it done against me, but there are ways at stopping that.

I'm not a fan of either Be A Pro or Be A Legend, if I'm honest. I'd rather just play usual games.

Hamsik may be amazing, but he's not the kind of player to get the ball to and run. He's an immense passer and links up well with the strikers Lavezzi and Denis.

FIFA isn't that bad, mate.

Infact, FIFA is brilliant, and I've played both PES and FIFA this year. I always used to be a PES Boy, but, this year's FIFA is the best.

btw i had fifa 09 mate it is too easy i play all of you and beat you with arsenal yes they have improved the gameplay BUT ITS STILL NOT A FUCKIN CHALLENGE EVEN WORLD CLASS YOU CAN THRASH TEAMS 6-0

Arsenal are over-rated on FIFA 09 though. Anyone would tell you that. It's not too easy to play, at all. Legendary difficulty level is hard to play on.

Of course it isnt and the idea that its far easier than pes 2009, when PES2009 gives you little control over players beats me. PES 2009 is very automated, you dont control as much.

Example, you dont have to think as about weighting crosses and passes, its a one button press, cpu does the rest.

It makes no sense, i played PES for nearly 10 years, went about 4/5 seasons highest diffuiculty ML without losing a league game.

When i jumped to FIFA and actually had to WEIGHT a pass, rather than just pressing X and Triangle the whole time, that was a challenge in itself in terms of linking full flowing moves together.

I also think FIFA flows a lot better this year, some of the passing moves you can put together is great, it really gives you a lot of control over the game. PES for me, still feels a bit heavy and doesn't flow that much.

They are over-rated. Adebayor and van Persie rip anyone to pieces. To me, that's the same as the 'arse lickers' with Ronaldo and Torres. Yes, I do have the Live Season form updates, and at the moment, Arsenal's stats are all over the place, but, their still virtually impossible to beat. I don't use either Liverpool or Man Utd. And, if you beat Chelsea with Blackpool online, then that player who used Chelsea must not have been very good, or you might be very good.

What moves thing?

I've had FIFA 09 since release date, and tbh, I haven't put it down or looked back, it's simply the best football game out at the moment.

For me, its the way it plays in midfield, it shocked me. AI doesnt rush you down the whole time mindlessly chasing the ball. It will contain, watch, hold, when you move into an area, it goes for the ball, as a result midfield can be very compact and you have no chance of running through it with one guy.

The game forces you to exploit a gap with timing and weighting of passes, then you make space and shoot or playmake.

Its one of the few games ive played where keeping possession is a SKILL, rather than an exercise in just pressing X and not worrying about the rest.

I completely agree with what nickpring and tech_skill have said. Back in the PES5/6 days, I loved PES so much. Gameplay was so good. But since the transition from PS2 to PS3, Fifa has caught up and has now overtook PES clearly.

Like Nick, I got Fifa on release day and I can't stop playing it. It is wrong to say Fifa is shit; it's clearly not. And you can't say Fifa is too easy because it isn't. I can only go up to World Class (most of the time I'm on Professional). Me and Nick have been playing online games recently and Nick will tell you good I am :tongue: He's a great player aswell.

When the AI chooses so, any player can play like ronaldinho, regardless of stats it doesnt matter, game is crazy.

Teamvision is farcial, one min the AI is fucking awful and you spank it, next min its superhuman.

No jokes, i was running at the final CPU defenders with Ronaldinho, and they actually moved out of the way giving me a one on one, which i put in the top corner. Didnt even bother celebrating that one, was embarrassing actually.

If you bought Fifa 09 and played it for a couple of months then you'd realise EA have got the gameplay right. Just like Pro Evo always has, Fifa takes time to really get into. I haven't played Fifa since 98, and have been playing PES/ISS for 15 years since the very first one on the SNES. Add to this, i probably had a 90% win record against a large circle of friends (and their friends), so i'm a decent player. Because of my complete allegance to PES, and because i was so used to the Pro Evo style, when i first played the Fifa 09 demo I thought it was shit. From there i downloaded the PES demo and just played that, thinking it was far superior to Fifa still.

After a couple of weeks of playing the PES demo and semi-enjoying it (not as much as the old ones on the PS2 though), Fifa got released and the prospect of 10v10 online and the various other online features made me think i'll give it a go. Since that day i haven't looked back. I still bought Pro Evo and put some time into it, hoping that it would grow on me and prove itself to still be the king, but it just hasn't happened. I still now slam it in about once a week hoping that it'll suddenly rediscover the old PES magic, but each time after 1-2 games i just think "Shit the bed, Fifa is SO SO SO SO SO SO much better now."

The graphics are better, the passing is better, the AI is better in the way that if you actually watch off the ball movement by the attacking and defending side, it all makes sense. Pro Evo is full of manic runs, with no logic behind the player's movements.

The manual passing, shooting, crossing etc. are great in Fifa too, give it an added depth and something else to master. I especially enjoy manual crosses, as they allow you to pick out players outside the box for volleys etc. Quality.

I'm also bcoming a bigger fan of the dribbling and trick sticks. For a month and a half i couldn't take anyone on. It's still kind of difficult now, but i'm making clear improvements, and on the hardest difficulty setting i can now use a couple of tricks effectively and actually take players on without the tricks as well. This is very very hard and requires a lot more precision than PES, but is so rewarding.

Now don't get me wrong, Fifa still has flaws that are frustrating, and i haven't written this to completely kiss it's ass. The responsiveness is still a little slow at times, although the more you play it the more responsive it feels. The cut scenes for goal celebrations etc. pre-programmed and not in-game graphics, which sucks. Eg. the CPU scores a late goal to cut your lead to 2-1, the player runs off to the crowd to celebrate, then it cuts to them fishing the ball out the back of the net to get it back to the half way line. And finally, the ball hits the woodwork too much!!! I can live with these faults though, because overall it offers a much closer representation of real football, and a more varied game, than any other football title ever released.

After buying and wanking over fifa for the best part of 2 weeks now i am never going to touch pes again. Fifa is a sheer master-class. For me its up there in my top 20 of all time games and the is truely stunning to play and watch. The movement of the players and the collisions in games are great to watch. Its so like the real thing. the passing moves make goals feel earnt and well worked and defending with your back to the wall in crunch games is fun and keeps me glued to the game. You can attack in a variety of ways for example my m8 plays with Pompey and uses Crouch to good effect by using the long ball and playing him as a link man to Defoe or you can knock the ball about waitng for openings which i know you can probably do in pes but in fifa it seems to have this natural flow and plays like a real game without having acadic traits like pes still has, a la 8 way movement.

In Pes (for me) the only thing that kept me coming back for more was player development and transfers windows but now Fifa has gone that way and imo done it alot better (in the development dept). You can improve players directly or let the comp auto develop them which is great as some players really rank up like my Jamie Carra has improved overaul by 6 points so far among others like alonso, mach. Then there's the little things i love in manager mode like real money, real player wages, sending out scouts, spending my budget on coaching certain areas of my team and staff which just imerses you totally in the world of fifa.

I'd like to quickly mention modes. Pes, you are are pathetic. You have no modes of any importance now. The ML used to rule my life and was all pes was good for but now i dont need it atall anymore as i have about 10 different things to do in fifa. Fifa has more online modes than pes has in its entire game and doing 10v10, helping liverpool in the interactive league and doing my ranking online with fluid gameplay and not a single glitch to date i feel like going to Konami HQ and curling one out on seabasses head. Even if Konami had 15 years they wouldnt get to the level that fifa has set now. Ok maybe they can improve but pes will never be better than fifa again. Fifa has got their heads in front now and they wont give it up. Fifa has pure simulation gameplay, great online, imersive modes and stunning graphics. Pes has none of these essentials and has become more stale than Cliff Richards singing career. So long Pes. We had are good times but Fifa is just too dam good.

The special thing about PES ML is that it boast its classic players which are a great rendition to a normal 'manager mode' in FIFA where computer generated players keep appearing. Jus love the classics from the old days.
