i'm getting wound up by the "what side of the bed did you get out of" arrows that you see in the team sheet...

you can get man of the match and bag a couple of goals but then come the next game your on a downward purple!!! all the while messi is on the bench and he's red up for it!!!???

anyone else notice absolutley no pattern or relevance to the arrows???

I think I have read that there is a rating each player has which accounts for their likelihood to "stay in form." I believe this should be changed to something more based on how well you have been playing, but Konami seem to like this system, since it hasn't changed for so long. To me it would be an obvious, easy to implement improvement to change it to being based on your previous ratings. I can't see the downside, but I suspect there might be one... Maybe they want to simulate the fact that a player can be off form inexplixcably from one game to the next, even if they did well the game before, but I would rather determine that myself, and given the opportunity, I'm sure I would!

yeah man, i'd quite easily fcuk up a lot of things on my own. cant score for tofee at the moment. the serie A keepers are making an extra special effort it would seem...

back to the arrows:

are you saying then that you think it's an energy / previous game ratio thing? seems about right thinking about it, good arrows on form with high energy, random purple arrows for good form but low energy (when your cursor goes red for example in the previous game)

I've heard that if you score with a player who's on a blue he'll more than likely be on a a green/orange/red next match, but I'm not too sure. Its just as annoying in the ML, all my tired players seem to be on reds and vice-versa.

I think it has to do with the fatigue, mentality rating and previous match performance. However if you do team "training" the arrow gamble as I call it, dont allow the orange or tired green arrow players to train...if its orange it may go red but may go to a worse color, if they are tired and then train it just makes them unusable for the next game. I dont train players if they have an orange and more than 9 fatigue or if theyre green and over 12 fatigue
