Amung some of the many problems in the gameplay of the new pro the most infuriating by far has to be the fact that every goalie in the game has their gloves coated with butter. i expect to see every simple save spilled rather than gathered. it should be the opposite way round with the odd few easy shots spilled here and there because yes it happens. but the frequency in goalies spilling simple saves is so annoying especially as so many times the spill leaves a simple tap in for the opponent. I dont really know if these issues can be fixed by patches at all or whatever but im praying that it can be!

This was slated to be fixed for 2009, but clearly wasn't.
If you have an Option File and are planning on sticking with it (i.e not changing it every 10 minutes when a new one is released) try maximising all the GK stats as far as GK Ability, Defence, Jumping etc. goes.
It may seem a little unrealistic and weird to do it that way, but it worked brilliantly for me on 2008 and 6. Maximising the keepers' abilities doesn't make them god-like as you would think, it just takes away their dodgyness for the most part.
For me, the blame was hardly ever on the GK when I did that.
To test it, do what I said to two teams and their GK's, then play an Exhibition match. You'll enjoy it.

i dont remember it being that much of a problem in 2008 altho i didnt play it that much. But i remember reading someone on these forums say something that perfectly sums up online play. More often than not if you lose its not because you played bad and let in goals its more often not your fault for example the goalie problem. They dont spill it a bit more than in real life they spill it a lot regardless of the length of the game. The shots they spill are to basic that a blind monkey could catch them. And then there is no point in rushing the keeper out anymore cos their attempt to smother the ball at a strikers feet are pathetic they normally just run around like a headless chicken making it so easy for the striker to jus move to one side and slot it in. But there are loads of very very basic errors just like these in the game and im actually shocked to see them. not being able to control your player once he looses the ball is one of the other infuriating problems and i cant see how konami did not do anything about this surely their testing should flag up these massive problems but yet they did nothing to fix them!
Try and defend better? Can you defend to the extent that your opponent doesn't have chance to deliver a shot?

In pes 2008, that was one of the biggest complaint.
If someone says it wasn't a problem in pes 08, then obviously he doesn't remember.
now again, I'm not saying this isn't a problem in pes 09, but it's better then pes 08 for sure.
I am playing pes 09 at the moment and the keeper doesn't spill as much as you say. Maybe you're playing with world class players too much.
