I would reccomend you to support Celtic. As I do.

Celtic were set up by a Priest in 1888, we are from Glasgow in Scotland, the east end of Glasgow a notorious poor area, when we were set up we were to generate money to feed the poor people of the area mostly Irish Catholics who fled from Ireland during the famine as the Preist who set us up Brother Walfrid did himself. Our first match was at Celtic Park, where we still play against our bitter rivals Rangers in which we won 5-2. We won the European Cup in 1967 with an entirely Scottish team and all the players were born in Glasgow apart from one who was born in Saltcoats a couple of miles outside Glasgow his name is Bobby Lennox and he is the most successful British player of all time. He won over 20 Trophies with Celtic and also played in the USA. Our best player ever was Jimmy "Jinky" Johnstone a small 5ft 5 winger with ginger hair, you can see videos of his quality on Youtube. Our other best players were Kenny Dalglish, Bobby Murdoch, Billy McNeill, Bobby Lennox, Danny McGrain, Paul McStay and Henrik Larsson.

We have currently won the Scottish League 3 years running and are top again, we regulalry compete in the Champions League and have beaten many good teams in it in recent seasons and in the past. Most notably we have the best home record in the History of the European Cup and Champions League. Our other European history shows that we also reached and lost the European Cup final in 1970 and in 2003 we were beaten 3-2 in extra time in the UEFA Cup final by Jose Mourinho's Porto.

Other wee bits of info:

Our old left back Tommy Gemmell scored in two European Cup finals, I think he and Phil Neal ex-Liverpool are the only defenders to have scored in two finals.

Our old Captain Billy McNeill was the first British player to lift the European Cup and Celtic were the first non Latin team to win it.

if he played for you 8 years, that leaves him very little time to play for liverpoll, so howcome he was elected liverpools best player?

He played for Liverpool for 14 years or something until he was around 40 I belive. He played for Celtic from 1968-1977 and liverpool from 1977-1990. He left Celtic when he was 26 and left Liverpool when he was 40.

OK so he started out when he was 18. at first it sounded weird to me...
