Master league starting 11

New to pes and am having problems with master league.

Am I able to change the starting lineup before a game? I've tried searching through all the options to no avail

You can set your lineup for how you want it to be before every game by going to Team Adjustments > Formation changes.. or something regarding Formation... then just click on Substitution, click on a guy, and then hit the right button or scroll down until you get to your reserves and swap them out.

Also, before each game you are taken to the same exact screen where you can make your changes ... since you don't want to play guys with blue or purple arrows.

Also I believe that when you scroll down, that the first 5 or 6 subs after your starters are going to be your available substitutes.

CapnKill is right. You have Team Adjustments menu, then you choose "Formation settings" and you go into Substitutions. When you scroll down the list you'll see three colours of names - black names are for your starting eleven. Blue ones are the available substitutes during the match (twelve of them at most) and the green names are for reserves that do not belong into the match squad at all. You are free to swap between them to suit your liking.

Thanks guys, got it working.

I didn't want to sound foolish, but its not all that intuative and the booklet with the game is a waste of space.

I'd recommend the PES Guide, its pretty nice, covers everything you need to know.

yeh it seems good but im not going to get it im not playing pes 2009 anymore
