Wanted to see what the general consensus is on requirements for winning the respective player of the year awards.
It has yet eluded me but I think I've now got my best chance of bagging one of these as I'm currently top scorer and assister in both the domestic and champions league. A little off pace in the domestic cup but also top scorer in the international cup qualifiers.
So is it simply a question of goal/assist tally - or are average rating evaluations more important?
Also does the award get announced the following season in the same way the euro/world team of the year awards are?

yeah the award gets given out near to the half way negotiations and judging by your performances u should get the award it took me ages lol

To get the EPY/WPY award is all based on your previous season. The requirements are being a Top scorer/assist or both on your domestic will get you EYP or WYP and Topping the scoring/assist chart in your previous UCL or UEFA cup will get you EYP/WYP.. and then they will show you a cool short cut scene showing you receiving the award :)

I think I'm in 2013-2014 season (i'm 22 in BAL) and just received WPY for my first season with Liverpool :)

I had last season received the EPY, for the previous season with Spurs, along with being named on the World / Euro teams, and been pretty much named top scorer and best player in every competition (including International qualifiers, and European cup (national)).

Its difficult, but if you are an attacker, you need to try be top scorer in as many competitions as you can, generally get high rating / MVP /MoM awards consistently.

I have also just been announced in position 4 of overall ratings :) that made me smile more than the WPY award!!

It takes a while, but its worth it. Just play well, score lots, and get consistently high ratings, and you'll get the awards you deserve.

won the epy got sick of playing bal so couldnt be bothered playing about 12 week to see did i win the wpy

Im now aiming for my 3rd consecutive WPY and EPY I am currently 25 years old playing for United Im a Berbatov type of player :D

On the old BAL on X360 I won the ERY. I basically had high ratings in all competitions and the award was mine.;)
