Those trophies seem quite easy, I've always wondered why this wasn't made Trophy-Compatible since release date. I only play online, so will I be able to complete these during online matches?

Unless the write up of the trophy says "offline" or "online" specifically, you can obtain them on either. :)

When I first tried getting some of the trophies, I whipped a cross in, scored a header, but only got the cross trophy, not the header one. :(

Still, ones like header, corner, pen scored, pen saved, free-kick etc. will come when I bother to have a proper sit down and play of it again.

I created an Argentine Messi-type player, with the intentions of using him on Manager Mode for Brentford. He's the smallest, scrawniest I could make him, aged just 15. Just over half a season into the first season, he's developed to be the best player in the game, rated 99. He gets a ton of exp points per game. As well as manual growth, I used the exp points to improve him, but there's nothing I can improve, less than a season in. It's ridiculous, but he won me promotion.

What is this Ultimate Team thing about? I tried to play it and said I had to download something. Nearly 3 hours of on and off downloading (for some reason the downloading kept cutting out) and I finally have it downloaded. I go to try it out then sends me right back to the marketplace to download the same thing again. I couldn't be bothered after that so I just played some BAP online.

Just started playing FIFA09 this weekend and I'm loving it so far. Played about 10 games online against a mate, about 1 or 2 of which I won.

I've started a Manager Mode now though with Bury. Played 3 matches, won 2 and lost 1. The first match I was losing 1-0 to Luton Town and scored 2 in the last few minutes to win, I was buzzing. Second match, I was winning 1-0 against Grimsby, then they came back and scored 2 in the last few minutes to beat me, devastated. Third match I had to play Darlington away, I managed to get a penalty which I slotted home to make it 1-0, and thankfully was able to hang on till the end for the 3 points.

I was just wondering if there is any tips people can give me about everything really. My players become way too tired, way too quickly. It's probably as bas as PES in that department, so was just hoping someone could throw me a bone here. Also, is there any art form to dealing in the transfer market ? I've went in for 4 players in total so far over the 2 weeks of my calender in the season, all turned down. I've made an effort not to go for players with top teams either so I'd have more of a chance obviously. Any tips ?

Transfer Market: offer the club and player a tad more than they're asking for - works for me but I'm Milan :|

Player Growth: It might be a pain but do it manually. The auto option rounds players out (strikers are given defending, defenders are given shot power etc.)

I just wish they'd sort out the transfer market (Inter listed Ibrahimovic, Cambiasso and Maicon at the same time and had previously listed Santon. Roma listed De Rossi at the same time as Inter listed those three and I ended up signing De Rossi and Maicon for obvious reasons in my second season. I've offloaded Gattuso, Ambrosini, Jankulovski, Senderos, Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Emerson, Dida, Seedorf and Kaladze by this stage, almost all in the first season. Brought in Santacroce, Lloris, Paloschi, Rafael and Breno plus De Rossi and Maicon.

I've played Strasser as a regular since my first game and have often used Cardacio and Viudez to aid their development.

Absolutely love the mode but there is the transfer market annoyance, the media part which is pretty much useless and only there as a feature and the inability for the mode to automatically change the weather or time of day matches. It only changes if you go to play an exhibition match and change the weather there.

I've just started a Manager Mode with Bradford and my players get knackered easily, too. I think it's because of the fact at the beginning of the season, the lower league teams play loads of games in a small space of time. Also, if you look at the Staff Upgrades section, the training levels are pretty dire, with everything no higher than 2 or 3 out of 10. If you increase fitness training, you'll see some change, but not too much, since the players' stats are probably pretty low. Finally, it's a possibility that the players are tired at the start of the season because of a lack of match practice. However, I think I'm being somewhat optimistic in regards to the games reality.

Transfers can be ridiculously easy, actually. For my Bradford team, I've signed Ramsey (from Arsenal) and Rodwell (Everton). I just bided the highest offer and wages I could and they accepted. This is where PES is better, because you have the prestige rating for teams and players, making it almost impossible to sign players from better clubs. I also loaned in To De Mul from Sevilla. They all still get tired, which makes me think fitness training is key if you want to play a regular first eleven, consistently.

What I would like to learn is more mad skilz! I've people perform insane tricks online, with ease. Then there's me looking like a Muppet, trying to do step overs. I might check out YouTube for tricks.

I had the same problem with fatigue with Millwall but once I started buying better players, it became less of a problem. Also, when doing the growth manually, I tried increasing the stamina as often as I could. I had so much trouble with player fatigue in my first season that I played Preston Edwards - a goalkeeper - up front in one game and Gary Alexander - my 5th choice striker - at centre back (I didn't trust a gk at CB).

That's off his channel. Some of those celebrations are awesome. Not buying that game mode though, celebrations more like this should be put in the normal Fifa, more celebrations for '10 definately.

I'd start a manager mode off with my team Rotherham United but to be quite honest, I'd rather play online. I'm pretty good against human opponents. However, I'm getting more and more pissed off as the days go by, all the n00bz online, with their cheating ways and glitches.

I might start one. Never know.

Is there anyway to change the Player Growth from Automatic to Manual after you've started the season ? I'm only 3 matches in, but I've won 2 of them so would prefer to carry on if possible.

Team Management > Player Growth > Press Y to toggle between On/Off.

You can still use manual while auto is on.

Original?

Invest in a fitness coaching and fatigue will never bother you again.

I'm now in my second season in Manager mode with Sheff U and I'm loving it!! Took me a while to get used to it. I started on World Class diff and was getting hammered so lowered it to semi-pro. Then I found it too easy so I'm on Professional diff now. This seems just right. I managed to gain promotion through playoffs last season and I'm currently 12th in Prem after 5 games. I beat Arsenal at the Lane 3-1 in first game and thought I'd finally mastered the gameplay but played Liverpool in next game and got battered 5-0 :(

Just wondered what difficulty everyone else plays on? Think I might up it to World Class if I stay up this season.

Hate to say it but the more I'm playing Fifa the more I'm enjoying it and favouring it over PES 2009. EA have finally got their act together and produced a great game this year :)

I play on Legendary level. I got promoted with Brentford in my first season via the play-offs....just barely. I didn't realise 7th place put you in a play-off position in League 2! Anyway, once I realised I could manually improve Vargas' (my created player) stats, the game got too easy. He had 99 for everything and it was pretty much a one-man team. I quit about half-way through the second season and have re-started with Bradford (without created players). At the moment, I've won 4, lost 4 (in the league). I've signed some decent players, but I'm now going to focus on training.

By the way, am I right in thinking you don't lose rank or points if you quit early, when playing online? Almost every time I'm beating someone, they quit.
