Not really worth it to be honest, the "2 extra fighters" are purely for the demo I believe. So it's not worth it for a few days, may as well just wait and see if you can buy the game for cheaper since GAME tend to sell games for top-dollar there.

Why would it be released over here on the 19th ? Every game is released on a Friday, whilst the 19th is a Tuesday. 22nd of course is the released date. Not sure if I'll get it on release since I have an exam on the 28th, and don't fancy being distracted anymore than the Champions League final will do.

Also found this, albeit on Wiki, but still it seems legit:

Because sometimes, major game releases happen over here on the same date as in the US. You could get GTA IV legally over here in shops at midnight on the Monday going into the Tuesday.

Still, I don't think this is classed as "major" which is why we're getting it 3 days after the US. If you've pre-ordered it though, I wouldn't be surprised to see people getting it on the Wednesday/Thursday.

Yeah, I was going to mention GTAIV as the exception, but to be honest I don't even think that had a release date. The week GTAIV was due out, it was basically no holds barred, anything goes. :lol: I witnessed bribery, conning and sheer desperation in that week, something I've never seen for a game before - was mental.

I wonder if there will be a strategy guide to accompany this game, it could be very useful. Especially when playing online, and if I can pick one up cheap I might do so, otherwise I'll probably swing it naturally and truly learn the tricks of the trade as any fighter would in reality.

Well that explains why he isnt there, I am not happy that he isnt in it though as he would be a great fighter to use but I respect his decision not to cut his hair for the sake of a video game. :)

Or you could look at it in the sense that he's an idiot because he was going to be getting paid just to get his hair cut. It's no big deal. I can see this game potentially becoming one of the top fighting games in video-game history, and when he looks back, he might feel stupid he's not in it just because he didn't want to get his hair cut.

I've also found it incredibly difficult to submit Chuck on expert. I turned the stamina bars on and made sure to wear him down before going for the submission while he is gassed, yet he always finds an escape. But on the flipside, Shogun can submit me late in Round 1 while I struggle to make Chuck tap late in Round 3!

The closest I have came to submitting Chuck Liddell was deep into the 3rd Round when I slapped a triangle on him from the rubber guard. I seemed to be winning the struggle until I lost my rhythm with the rotations of the right analogue, which of course saw Chuck promptly escape. I won by unanimous decision though; 30-26, 30-27, 30-27, in a hugely one-sided destruction of the Ice Man.

I can stop Rua quite easily, either by KO or TKO. But it's harder to put Chuck away, especially in regards to making him tap.

2 great fighters aswell. Bader is just like a daddy version of Matt Hughes and Escudero is a deadly little scraper with excellent submission skills.

I'll have to go about pre ordering it because these guys are going to be big.

@Winger: I found the Triangle choke from the full mount is his strongest submission and most difficult to escape from, L1 and R3.

On another note I must confess to a previous post I made regards Chuck and making him tap, soon after posting that I thought about it and started doubting myself so I went in for a game against the CPU on expert.

Anyways after 2 rounds I had him down to a tiny bit of energy while my fighter was almost still perfect, at that point then then I tried to submit him over and over without any joy and despite him having completely nothing left.

The fuck is going on with that like?

Ended up win 30/24 30/24 30/24 on points.

It's going to be interesting for sure. It would be too naive to say, just go for the takedown and try and submit him, but in reality, his sheer size is almost impossible to shift. If he manages to transition on the ground and turns you onto your back, getting out will be a bitch I imagine, especially full mount - christ.

It does add a much welcomed diversity to the game though and makes the player try and think more strategically in such situations. I really cannot wait.

I wont have a social life, from the second I pay for the game, for a few weeks. Coincidentaly, the gaffer gave me next Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off work :cool:
