was reading a press release located on here and its torres talking about the game, then the release goes on to talk about the improvemnets in the game, but every improvemnet is linked to torres, im worrying that torres himself and possibley liverpool will be overrated because of this. liverpool are a good team, theres no denying that but if konami start making them fantastic and torres unbeliveable then the game will be unbalanced. Konami have been know to randomly make certain players better, drogba a few years ago used to score overheads in the game alot even though he never did that in real life... now that torres is on the box im worried that he will be alot better then he should be? any one else feel the same....

Yeah they do tend to make the cover stars and their teams somewhat invincible (look at Newcastle in PES 08) - but it's nothing that an option file or some stat editing can't fix. It might be worth flagging this in the official feedback section, or perhaps a moderator/admin could move it there?

In all fairness, Torres is horribly underrated on PES so a little stats boost wouldn't be terrible, but I understand your fears.

well he is a good player but he was injured alot so they should have him with a high injury so that he cant always be good

yer i would hate to see torres being over rated for me the lad has awesome pace and skills but he is lazy some of the time like he wont chase loose balls or anything so maybe they can play that trait in there.

im not so sure

I think liverpool in previous games have been underated and difficult to play with, i think they do need improving more than what they are, but like you say i dont want them made unbeatable! i think there has to be a certain balance they did finish 2nd in the league so by all rights they should be extremely difficult to beat as they lost only 2 games last season less than man u. So... they should be good!!!

^ yes its true but its going for man u, inter milan, and players like messi, zlatan, adriano in past games were very talented but impossible to beat even the best in todays football have off days and sometimes cant kick the ball instead of day in day out world class play that is portrayed in the pes franchise.

i would again say pes 5 is the best so far due to the fact you would notice world class players like (henry, gerrard, lampard, the big ZZ) you felt their presence on the pitch but you also felt they could make mistakes and they could have been beaten giving the right circumstances..

^Excactly my points. Liverpool weren't underrated in pes 2009. It's because of the game.

I do think that licenced players and teams can sometimes be favoured more and rated on a higher level than the unlicenced ones in certain at times. In some cases its not that the unlicenced ones have been underated but more overlooked to a certain degree and left with stats that dont really represent them that well imo. It would be nice to have a fully realistic overall stats set up for players regardless of licences.

EDIT: I would also agree that Liverpool wasnt underated on PES2009 imo. It is more about how the game plays as to how certain teams come across. To me its generally the teams with pace all over the pitch that seem better overall and im pretty sure Liverpool dont have that really. With them its more about quality in defending, passing and positioning imo.
