And by that by no means I'm referring to the graphics. There is enough diversity in appearance between the players. This is something in which a great deal of other similar games fail miserably.
I created 3 different players with different profiles. My first player I let him work his butt off and he keeps running up and down the pitch like crazy. Sometimes he gets rewarded with a great score like 7.0. Mostly he gets a meager 6.0 or 5.5 but he´s still in his years of development. Sometimes he hits the frame and nearly missed to score a goal by an inch. But quite often that isn´t even deemed worthy of a replay.
My other player I created for the sole purpose of testing things out. One of the tests I did was to let him stand perfectly still for the whole time he was on the field. He was substituted 15 minutes before final time. Other players were substituted even before him!!! I mean, c´mon, in real life a player like that would be taken off by his coach after a couple minutes if not less. And after the game was over I found out he was "rewarded" with a score of 5.0 just like some of his fellow team players. Even better... he made it to the next basic line up!
Is it just me or does this seem like a joke?
