Although I haven't seen the numbers on the current Benfica squad, here's a list of the players and respective numbers of the team for you to correct them, please. Players with a * are players not in the game nor needed to create, as they only integrate the "before-season" roster:

I remember trying to do that when I played FM, but it's a much more daunting task as there's so many more teams/players. I'd just wait for the next one if I was you and continue to play your current save game.

There isn't a single website I use for my transfer updates (wish there was though!!). I use a variety of pages such as skysports, bbc football, goal.com (although they're not always reliable, so I often look for further verification by google-ing that transfer). Also discussion boards such as the one on PES Fan for summer transfers is a good way of catching some of the lesser known deals.

Hahnemann wasn't in my last update, but he is in the new one

Nice one, I think I had all of those except Shaffer though, which I already knew about. I just added him to the next update. There's a few missing there that you might know more about...

a) where's Giles Binya? wiki has him still at the squad?
b) Ariza Makukula returned from his loan at Hull didn't he?
c) did Benfica not make José Antonio Reyes' move permanent? I know they had the option too as they'd already bought about 25% of his rights
d) I thought they'd signed Radamel Falcao from River Plate?

Wasn't planning another update today, but decided the signing of Michael Owen by Man Utd deserved one. The update includes...

+ All confirmed transfers completed (including Owen to Man Utd)
+ Hahnemann added to Wolves
+ Shaffer added to Benfica

I'm leaving on a jet plane...
I've recently finalised my holiday plans and can now announce that I will be jetting off to Thailand for six weeks from Wednesday. I have worked long and hard ensuring that all released 09/10 kits have been done, as well as creating all the new teams I planned to.

I'm afraid however the transfer updates will be put on hold until I get back (might slip in a couple of small updates before I leave). I suggest you make any major transfers yourself in-game, but keep faith with this option file, as it will be updated upon my return.

I hope everyone has a lovely summer and continues to enjoy this file that has taken hundreds of hours to keep up to date. If you want to say thanks and buy me a beer to have on a beach somewhere, please hit the donate button below :cool:

a) He's not a part of the new Benfica roster, although he's still a Benfica player. So he'll be probably loaned to other Portuguese team. If you want to (as I do), replace him with Fábio Coentrão, the most likely member to stay in the roster...
b) Same for Makukula, as far as I know he has ended his loan but it's not on the new Benfica, probably loaned as well around here...
c) Reyes is a player who interests Benfica and they're negotiating him, I think. So don't remove him yet of the team, I still believe he's going to stay.
d) Falcao has almost everything sorted out with Benfica, but there has been an intruder called... FC Porto!! A soap opera to keep watching until he finally signs with Benfica... :D

I'll show you how to use the PES2009_EDIT.bin
1. You MUST download PES2009 Editor from internet.
2.Then install it.
3.Open PES 2009 Editor, press FILE>>OPEN>>(Look for PES2009_EDIT.bin)files that you have download.
4.After finish loading, then click on FILE>>CHANGE OF TO VERSION>>1.00
5.REMEMBER to save before exitting the program.
6.Just put it back into the Documents/KONAMI/save/
7.Sit back and ENJOY!!!:happy:

Hey I tried to install this but when I open the game it says error loading files from another version. I am running PES 1.4 clean install, anyone else having this problem?
