I like Master League too but I really want to play as Tottenham in a full English Premier League Season where you can qualify for Champions League or Europa League and can also dabble in the transfer market during the season. I am so into realism that I dont like the idea of Spurs playing AC Milan one week, Barca the next, Real Madrid the week after....it dont happen in real life so I dont like to do it on the game...I use Master League mostly because of the transfers and the chance to build a team of my favorite players so if they put that into the normal league format I would be delighted..It would make qualifying for the Champions League and playing Madrid, Milan etc after doing so well the season before all the more sweet, cause in my opinion playing these big teams week in week out takes the fun out of it..just my opinion but Im amazed they don't have this in the game yet.

Quite odd that you say that because you're able to play in an English League in PES 2009, and have been able to for years now I believe. When starting a Master League, you can simply pick and choose teams which will make up the leagues - I tend to have the La Liga, Premier League, Italian and French with a few "other" teams in Division 2 (which is where we start at the beginning of the ML). My new Master League team is "Arenas de San Pedro" (real town in Spain) and so I've chosen the La Liga as the top flight - I'm still in Division 2 though.

So to verify, you "can" create an all England League for ML if you want to play as Spurs. Obviously every season or so a team or two might change due to the promotion/relegation between the English League and the Division 2 group below it. Maybe try creating a new ML just to check it out so you know for future referance and that mate.

Like Hunter says alkemy, you've been able to play in an equivalent Premier League in Masters League for years. You can set up your own but the computer is pretty good at sorting out the leagues when you start a ML and you just choose to go in the English one, be it A, B, C or D league. You can even change the names to Prem lg, La Liga etc if you want, although I'm not sure where you do this?

@ Blade: To change the names of the leagues, I think this has to be done through the Edit Mode although I don't think this would translate over to the Master League as they'd all still be called League A,B,C,D etc. I only think the name changes work for when playing the normal "League Mode".

Ah right, cheers mate. I'll have at look at the edit mode when I'm next on PES. I thought you could change the names of the ML leagues as well but maybe not. Probably some stupid copyright thing! :realmad:

As I say, I'm not 100% certain on it but I'm pretty sure you can't change the Master League group names unfortunately. It sounds as if Konami have upgraded the ML this year though with the addition of real currency, european competitions etc. Shall be very enjoyable since I already love the ML.

It's the main reason I've already pre-ordered PES 2010 Hunter! I spend about 90% of my PES time on ML and the fact Konami have stated that they've FINALLY upgraded it this year has got me pretty excited! :w00t

Of course I knew that...thats what I do at the moment to make do but within 3 seasons I had 6 non english teams in my league so its a moot point.

That is good news but it still irks me why they cant do transfers in a regular English England League season so I dont have to play the foreign teams that come up from the second tier league after winning promotions...its a simple request I think.

Well I tried going into edit mode and changing the Master league names last night and it worked! :D

You can just go to Edit - League/cups - then go to League A, B, C & D and change their names to Prem League, Serie A ... etc

It even changed the names of the leagues in the Masters League I'm currently playing :)

Can't believe it's taken me this long to find out I can change the league names!!

Dont you get the game a day early when you pre- order it? I spend about 45% of my time in Master League, 5% Champions League, 50% Edit Mode (I like to edit alot), the real currency will help with the realism, just hopefully now the bundislega is inluded in the game and in the master league, because its a bit pointless having the Champions League and Europa League if you cant be Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen also I would like to buy Dzenko in my Barcelona Master League.
