Music importing and pre-match fight tune

Hi,

I am sure we all spend most of our free time playing PES. Hence, we are forced to listen to the same songs over and over again during our free time.

It is a shame we cannot combine our two most favorite pastimes together: listening to our favorite music and playing PES.

Therefore, Konami shall let us import music.

Secondly, what happened to the pre-match fight music that would pump us up with adrenalin before kick off as in PES 2008?

Would it not be great if for example you and your opponent choose your teams and then suddenly the Mortal Kombat theme plays.. (you could change it of course if we could import music)

Regards

PS: It would be cool to read some of your pre-match fight tunes suggestions! Just for laughs..

I was thinking perhaps the Rocky theme would be appropriate. Also "Mama said knock you out" by LL Cool J would be fun.

Titter Titter...

Us PC gamers have no such issues with such matters.

I have the likes of Thomas Heckmann 'Amphetamine' or Dakar und Grinser 'I wanna be your Dog' thumping out during the match preperation screens.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I am a PC user. I heard that it is possible for the ps3 only, but I do not own one. Thanks though!

How did you manage that? Have you imported them into the game or are you playing them from another application?

Cheers

Download the following:

AFS Explorer
DKZ Studio

AFS explorer allows you to edit and rebuild the image files used in PES.
The sound files that PES uses are .adx files. DKZ Studio will allow you to convert your favourite tunes or crowd chants from .WAV to .adx files. Each tune or (possible) crowd chant you here in PES has its own allocated slot within the cs0d.img file, designated by its own number.

Here are the numbers for the menu music:

Music can be found in cs0d.img, in slots 90-150

Default Top Menu & Exhibition Match Squad Select Music:
unnamed_96.adx
unnamed_104.adx
unnamed_106.adx
unnamed_109.adx
unnamed_122.adx

Default Highlights Music:
unnamed_91.adx
unnamed_92.adx
unnamed_93.adx
unnamed_94.adx
unnamed_95.adx

Default Edit Menu music:
unnamed_97.adx
unnamed_118.adx

Default League & Master League tracks:
unnamed_98.adx
unnamed_121.adx
unnamed_101.adx
unnamed_100.adx
unnamed_115.adx

Default Cup tracks:
unnamed_137.adx
unnamed_140.adx
unnamed_138.adx

When u have your tunes converted to adx files using DKZ Studio, name the files accordingly to which menu you want to hear them in, and save them all in a specific folder i.e. FOLDER A

Then using AFS explorer, write the contents of FOLDER A to the sounds image file cs0d.img. Then use your edited cs0d file instead of the default one.

I wouldn't expect someone to know entirely what to do just from reading the above as it is only a quick guideline to demonstrate how simple the process actually is. If you really want to start patching your PES install then all the information that I needed in order for me to learn how to do it myself can be found across various posts on:
