Slow response = No pes?

Not the greatest title. I know.

But anyway, I have been informed that the response times have been toned down due to SOME ( and only SLIGHTLY ) animations. But mostly because the game overall is a much slower game than PES2009. To the point where you will be very surprised just how much at first.

Thats the bad news ( or for some just news )

The good news is that the game is VERY fun and VERY real. 90% code btw.

Thoughts?

You mean response like in pes 5? I remember that that game had normal response time and then in pes 6 it started with the fast response times.

it cant be worse than the pin ball games from the last 2 years. it needs to be a bit slower to allow you to build up your attacks properly.

@SHAUN

Not sure how slow but it does take getting used to from what I hear. However, the passing is quick and crisp.

@WILLMO

Ahaha from what I hear it is MILES ahead of 2008 and 2009. Much slower and considered pace. Almost perfect.

As far as Im concerned though I do not mind tbh. The whole game itself will be slower so the rapid response times wont be required.

slower game is fine, but hopefully the response times wont be altered too much. its frustrating as hell when i input a command to not see it happen quickly or properly. one of my main problems with FIFA is the response time, ive just about got use to it but i shouldnt have to really. PES has never had that problem. and you generally feel in control of the defenders when you have one selected so if your opponent has a quick response you can mimic it

as long as the game is back to its best and i enjoy playing it then that not much of a problem

yeh, you could have it normal or ridiculously fast. you unlocked it from the mighty PES store i think.

That's what I like to hear (about passing). Because passing needs to be responsive.
So I guess we'll have to wait for the official game to find out about responsivness. If only it can be compared to previous pes games.. :)

PES drives on quick response times

FIFA drives on animations and slow response times

I like quick response times.

Give me quick response times, with individuality, custom tactics, great graphics, and no Ping Pong play and I am in!!

slow response time favors slow players don't you think? Or maybe not favor them but you know it handicaps fast players I think..

A slower game shouldn't mean slow gameplay.. now I'm worried about this. I hope it won't be too slow.

In FIFA the animations are scoring the goals, not the user scoring the goal.

In PES the user scores the goal, not the animations (thus provides the goal satisfaction we all love)
