PES vs FIFA is healthy!

its healthy, todays market is built upon competition, without it we would have one game that was a monopoly, it could be crap but we wouldnt have a choice and they could charge what they want. Look at Modern Warfare 2, lets be honest there is no competition close to that game, and their charging £50 as rrp! Competition brings improvements, the only part of it that isnt healthy is when people bitch and moan and remain stupidly loyal to one or the other, you play what ever is best! dont play something that sucks just because of the title, i didnt play Dino Crisis 3 despite loving the 1st two, if you have ever seen that game you will know why

Scandalous that really, but then they'll absolutely get away with it. There'll be a massive percentage of MW1 fans who will buy it regardless of the price.
yep, and like i said there really is no decent alternative, i loved Rainbow six vegas but 2 didnt improve much and it kind of got abandoned so now there really is no competition. and MW1 has never dropped in price. I like how some games conveniently go platinum, or classic as its now called on xbox, after so many sales, and others dont and continue to charge near full price.

In all honesty, who actually thinks it'll make a difference? (referring back to the thread topic.) Both titles are hugely successful and despite both having some distinctly poor outings, have still sold by the bucket load.
To Make any kind of real healthy dent into the footy game market what is really needed is a third option. Something that has been sadly lacking now for many a year. Mainly due to EA's licence hogging admittedly.

The only down side, IMO, would be if EA manage to cause Konami to quit the biz. I don't see that happening any time soon, but if it did, then it would suck because EA have a history of putting out poor updates when they have the market cornered. Also, IMO, Konami are the innovators and EA are the pretenders, and if Konami disappeared then EA wouldn't have anyone to steal ideas from. MInd you, there has been a bit of stealing of ideas by Konami in 2010, but nothing close to what EA have done. Honestly, I think Konami should be able to sue EA for stealing their control scheme.

Competition is great and fuels a better end product -- this is capitalism 101. Without competition, we'd be screwed as a consumer and getting a version .1 every year -- like with Madden.
But to act like a fanboy and piss and moan about which is better, is just trivial and a waste of breath. Like religion or politics, it is fun to talk about for about a minute or two, at least until that one person goes crazy and lalala on everyone else. That's when I'd rather have my head bashed in than read the stupid fanboy posts.
Anyway, FIFA 10 and PES 2010 should be good. God bless.

Is your account north american or european?
If european, go to the search button, type fifa, and then along the middle of the results will be the fifa 10 demo.
If it's american do the same but tommorrow on the 17 th.
