Through Balls...

For the love of god please fix the through balls! I love the game been playing winning eleven and its awesome but everytime i do a through ball the defender steps up!

Go back and play pes 6 and you will see the difference, through ball on that is mint! Maybe just increase the power or something. I know there is the right analogue stick but i can never get them right. Will there be an option for power in the final game? i havent played pes since 6 so has it always been like this?

Please konami fix it!

Yeah I totally agree about through balls.
But according to those who played the latest code, the through balls are also fixed. So hope still exists.

I think most people would like to see passing and through balls with a power guage (akin to fifa) and i know i would too!

Just hold the through ball longer for more power and long distance and tap it for less power and for it to travel a short distance. Through balls are hard, yes, but that's how it should be. The rate at which through balls were going through in the previous pes' was unrealistic. This is much better as most through balls are intercepted in real life unless there is a big gap and you time it perfectly.

People complained about response issues, I was one of them but the more I play the more sense it makes, you feel less in control of players than in FIFA and that's how it should be IMO.

Let's not make the game easy and arcade like again. I think the PES 2010 demo just needs little tweaks nothing major. The game grows on me everytime I play it.

I thought that the longer you hold it, it just goes to the next player along doesnt it? so therefore maybe more power but to the wrong player? There could be a bit more power i just think when you press it, id say i get 1 in 20 go through the defence they step up every time... That is with brazil, i was watching man utd yesterday and giggs and evra were slipping them through the defence at about 85% success (granted against stoke and Man city other week but still...)

On the WE demo ive played some great through balls. Its much better. If the guy is in space they tend to go perfect but if your trying to slip in Toni past 2 CB's good luck

Ive played PES for years and the longer you hold the button in the longer the pass is, try it when your playing tap the triangle and it will do a small through pass, hold it in and it will go further. You can do it and you have been able to do it for about 10 years in the game lol

If you mean you'd just like every through ball to be of a world class standard then it's not going to happen. In real football someone like Xavi possibly the best about willl only get about 1 out of 4/5 attempts perfect.

Yeah the longer the pass is, but thats because it is aiming for the player farthest away... not the player you want.

yeh i know its ok on the right analogue stick but its just quite hard i think. I just think that is one thing fifa has over the pes games and that is powered passes and through balls.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. I assumed when you said through balls being intercepted I just thought you were saying when the last man makes a run and you press through ball it is intercepted. I think this is brilliant, you can still get it through by pressing triangle appropriately in the given situation but the accuracy is not as pinpoint as PES2009, again this is realistic.

As for the through balls when there is more than one player in front of you then you are right they tend to go wayward when holding the through ball longer.

Yeah it is good and maybe more realistic i've just had what i think easy balls and too many through balls intercepted because of lack of power, the analogue stick does solve this but its very difficult to execute.

Normal passing is amazing and uses a good amount of power yet when i through ball i get less power, when you want a player to run onto a ball dont you want more because its going past them? or even just the same amount which i dont seem to get? It just doesnt feel quite rite to me. Like i said before giggs and evra geting about 85% through i would expect this from brazil i recon. I dont mean through on goal balls but just past a few defenders on mid field or on the wing.

I think the main gripe is that through balls dont go to the player you want them to.

For example, i was in the midfield, wanted to play a through ball to the winger in acres of space for an easy shot on goal, press through ball and hold the direction for it to go in....he plays a short through ball/pass to a player kinda behind me running up to attack, ball goes either through his legs, hits his legs and balloons off somewhere, or goes straight past him coz hes not expecting it!

No no, its near impossible to get a decent throughball to work, the player reciving them are on rails and goes into computer control nearly, you cant move around till the ball reaches your feet, its nonsense... why should you have less control over players? that makes no sense, you should have as much control as a normal player has try battle fot the ball or go around the defender to get the ball.....

that doesnt even make sense, i ahve to be bad at something to belive it, i believe it because thats what its like, you give a throughball and the player will move into the path of it and wait for it, the defender will then just cut it out if it doesnt come to you and seeing as you cant move then they usually do clear it.... its

I see you're digging yourself deeper. I repeat you must be very bad if you believe that.

Since it doesn't make sense to you, let me use some other words, you don't know this game well enough to be aware that you can actually get out of the path/rail, move towards the ball etc..

It's not because you don't know how to do it that it's not possible
