Have you tried renewing the contract of any players who only have a short time left, rather than the 3/4 year ones?

Yeh. I only tried it on players with short contracts, which were carrick, macheda and nani all with 9months (shortest amount of time on United). Each one denied it no matter how much money i offered. I didnt try the max amount of cash though but i did raise carricks money by 5 grand.

I got a feeling its something do with the level of you as a manger, im curious to see what happens if you win games or try this at the end of the season.

Try turning him off (which you've done) then choose your squad in team managment. i think thats how i managed to picked my own team.

I just set negotiation level to 10, still nothing, if its not the manager level thats doing it, this is fucking not on. Im gonna have to sim this season i think and see the outcome.
