The CPU defence is absurd. We got raped 7-1 in an early game because it wouldn't come to terms with quick passing and through balls.

The random disconnects didn't affect me at all until the last 2 games I was involved in. That first disconnect was tragic as I'd just played Barn through on goal and he disconnected too. I started off well last night but was a bit poor towards the end; I need to improve my passing.

I got woeful as the night went on. In the first of two games where we split into two teams, I couldn't get the ball off you guys (Fab, Barn, Phat) for the last 60 minutes of the game. Not entirely bad positioning on my part but obviously you felt you had better options and that made me move further and further back looking for possession so when we started a counter I was too far behind to support you Phats. Need to just ignore you all if I'm not getting possession and stay on the shoulder of my marker.

My biggest screw-up last night was when I got a through ball (from you Phats) which took out the goalkeeper and defenders and should have just seen me run onto the pass and scored into an open net from an angle. Instead, my player slowed down and by the time he got to the ball, the angle was gone, the keeper was back in goal and I was swearing.

One brilliant goal between us last night, the curling cross I put in which you headed backwards into the net. Would've given you a high-five for that one had you not been in a different room miles away.

So are you guys enjoying this mode more than the club game mode in FIFA 09 (using real teams, real players, etc)?

I haven't got around to making my virtual pro yet. In fact, I've barely been able to play the game, which is rather annoying.

I didn't think it would necessarily work but actually, it does. I prefer it because at least you don't come up against teams of twats using Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Kaka and Messi as their front four with Drogba on the bench.

I even play my VP in Milan Manager Mode games - scored two goals in one game and is my top goalscorer after four or five matches as my first two games were 0-0 draws :>

I think games with any more than six in the team is fatal. Last night when I was controlling just the defence wasn't exactly enjoyable. I don't mind defending, and I think I'm alright at it, but I think I defend better when I have someone else at the back with me, like Berry. Also I like having at least one midfielder free so I can get forward and put some passes in to Phatmann, who is surely our best finisher.

Apart from the disconnects I thought we played well last night on the whole.

Original? scored a goal last night that almost hit me and would then have been called offside had it done so as I was running in the same direction as the ball was travelling...but ahead of it! I occasionaly end running into the net as someone scores and that was one of two occasions.

I err....feel it confuses the goalkeeper...:unsure:

I'm starting to get fed up of hitting the bar from reasonable distances, I think I'm nearing twenty times in all modes...

I'm doing pretty well, mate, I unlocked the 5 star trick moves for my player last night, could come in handy at some point. :happy:

My player's really shaping up - I've achieved 25% of all the accomplishments so far, which is pretty good.

My man's got a good shot on him, he wouldn't do bad as an emergency striker, to be honest. :ninja:

Not earned any traits yet, I'd love to get the Acrobatic Clearance, doesn't tell ya know how to earn it though...

My guy is mainly good with ball control/tricks/freekicks/shooting/finishing...I really need to get his pace / acceleration up but you need to play a lot of games for that & win a lot of man of the matches.

I've unlocked a few things as well, celebrations 1 & 2, gloves, under armour, untucked shirt.

Yeah, the pace/acceleration is time consuming!

I think I'm on about 30%, primarily passing, ball control and shooting. Some of my assists aren't registering though.
