yes would have a chance against fifa if all the players didnt move like robots makes it seem outdated compared to other games smooth running

This is my concern too. Even kids watching the PES running animations have said to me "they run like chickens." The running animation and movement are so obviously strange, why Konami has not address this key problem is annoying to PES fans.

this is the most important aspect that needs to be addressed i have always been a PES fan but afraid to say i have gone over to fifa last couple of years mainly because of this problem, as well as the online lag. I so much want to bin fifa and come back to pes but its got to feel right and controlling robots doesnt feel right

^To be fair, the animations aren't finished yet in the demo. Yes fifa has better animations, but pes has some other things better. Animations are not everything.

well, if u think the pes demo is bad, try the retail fifa10.. it's even more robotic and choppy, and you get the feeling of playing on a handball court rather than a football field

The animations are the ONLY thing i can find wrong with the WE demo..

(IMO) after playing a few games they are forgotten about , i certainly wouldnt buy Fifa just because the animations are more polished that is madness.

Fifa has a lot more underlying roboticness which at first glance you cannot see, its a typical well polished EA game that draws you in with the fancy animations licensing etc etc. Deep down after playing a few games if you think PES is Robotic then Fifa takes it to a new level!

They are nothing like the so called "gameplay" fake movies that floods you tube.

animations and physic/collisions is the only thing konami need to improve and i expect this will be their priority for pes 2011..with the graphic and gameplay already good probably need improve or add something on it they have a lot of times to improve those two thing which fifa is miles ahead from pes..

Even by 'old' standards the animations are terrible. Look at PES5, that game still has fantastic looking animations. But indeed, it might well be the case that after a few good games, the poor animations become less noticeable.

PES 5 wasn't in HD, so probably less noticeable compared to this gen's games. The next gen games are pretty much using last gen's animations. Old animations + HD = FAIL.

Have to agree with few people here, animation isn't about anything. I owned fifa10, feel bored after few days, yes the running animation no doubt better than pes, but pes gameplay will make us forget about the poor animation.

Must admit though - the sliding tackles in FIFA10 are good. (but i still won't buy it)

PES2010 better deliver.

I think people notice the 'Robotic' running on PES much more than on FIFA..

Play a game on FIFA and concentrate on how the players run.. They run like robots too.
People notice it more on PES because all the concentration is on one player. On FIFA it is more of the whole team I concentrate on, but on PES if a player on the wing gets the ball I seem to be watching his every movement.
Whether its because the camera is closer, or maybe because the players seems a little chubbier on PES, the robotic running does stand out more on PES.

Don't get me wrong.... FIFA does have better running animations, but it is just way more obvious on when I play PES.

I don't know why, but it just does....

this should sound odd just got the fifa 10 is decent,after a fews games im back to playing pes 2010 and we 2010 demos.pro evo football in game is more deep and excited to play .Fifa dont give that feeling ,same thing if u are drinking pepsi instead of coca cola.just hope in a near future konami pays more attention to fans opinions..

Come on guys. Since when did we start caring about the players look like robots or chickens? The animation has been the same since the iss pro days. On the ps2 they ran in the exact same way - No one complained then. Why now? Aren't you just being snotty? And don't give me the "but-it's-supposed-to-be-a-next-generation-game" It is exactly what it's supposed to be - A football game developed in 2009 with the available ressources and technology.

I dont agree either they ran like this in ps2 days they didnt and also the player models were far better in the ps2 days this game has a good gamplay to it but it just doesnt look right to me and many other people the game needs new running animations and player body models (faces perfect) FACT
