PES 2010 Edit Mode

How come we still don't have any info about PES 2010 Edit Mode? We've already seen that the final build is already being played. Furthermore, in the last year by these days we were already seeing lots of pictures from pcaction.de showing lots of features like equipment making and faces. We are about a week or two from the official release and nothing has been shown yet. (Altough from the Barcelona - Lyon game you can already see that KONAMI hasn't done its best, Pjanic, Makoun and Cissokho have no face, I hope they've achieved something more than the making of some faces for the German National Team!!!)

15th October.

Thats the date that people who have the game can post reviews, videos, pictures and much more.
Sites like PESFan, PESGaming and WinningElevenBlog will go crazy with tons of information. 15th October....

I'm always optimistic about advances in editing but rarely impressed by what I see.

I know what you mean man. Most of the time i feel we get given just enough to get along tbh. It still all seems a bit last gen imho.
I personally think PES2009 seemed like the first version of PES on a current gen console that had an edit mode close to that of the last PS2 version before the 'next gen' consoles came along.
This year i was hoping for something pretty special now Konami have had time to settle in the current gen of gaming, but from what i hear we will still have the same amount of layers and templates/designs to utilize, and also a possibly identical photo importing set up for kits. Not sure about face pics but im guessing nothing at all has been done there considering they've not mentioned it as a feature.
Tbh im hoping for a real current gen overhaul to the edit mode but im certainly not banking on it..or expecting it really.

Put it this way, im not getting my hopes up for anything better than updated templates/designs and the updated boots with their new varied stat inclusion tbh...if thats the case i will be fairly disappointed overall and i believe for PES2011 they would need to either look to bring the edit mode up to current gen standards all round or impliment a rip off version of the 'Game Face' feature that EA have come up with to further modernise this franchise. Thats just my opinion anyway.

On the Konami blog a man did say that one key feature in PES2010 will be an advanced Edit Mode. I'm not sure if he means it's a completly new and better edit mode or if it just has a few minor changes to like you said - ''just enough to get along''

I don't think the Edit Mode needs much work, the one in PES2009 was fantastic. The feature I loved most was the ability to draw patterns on to the shirt. I created a shirt using some of the default patterns, then drew a single black hoop across the chest. It started off solid black on the right, then faded away to red (the main colour of the shirt). I thought it looked great. I'm not sure if I was able to do this before, though.

There are probably two things I would like: a wider range of kit designs and more fonts and characters (for sponsors and badges).

well guys,
i fill very frustrated wit edit mode - edit face for pes09/we09....
maybe edit face on ps3 are very far away from pc...i agree.
the colour of the image we upload...sometime the face templates and face upload not matching...i hope a lot improvement of this.
for me kits and face are the the major in edit mode option that should improve.
i like the real face likeness.....now i'm collecting all player of all region..but i hope if ps3 version canot reach like pc....but hope a lot improve.

Cat O' War!!
Edit mode in PES2009 is already very good.
They should keep the same layout with few changes, like updated kit designs and more space for emblems and logos.

I wouldn't worry so much about the editing possibilities. This area has been almost the same since the iss pro days - chance of editing hairstyle, boots, socks, sleeves, wristband etc. Don't think it's gonna change that much - of course more hairstyles. I don't really think Konami need to work on the editing area.

I didn't really take face editing into consideration in my initial post. I only really edit kits and emblems (especially in Master League). I guess the only things I do when it comes to editing players are changing their hair and free-kick styles. It would be great if they would bring back facial hair editing.

I hope to be getting the game early this week, and once I do I'll be sure to give full details on the edit mode

Maybe I misread, but I thought the edit mode was improved (besides untucked shirts, they are bringing some other options..?..)... I really like the older features (low socks, neck warmers, finger bands, etc.). Oh, well, I hope there is a surprise and there are bit more features this year.

For me the most important thing is GLOBAL editing...

If you want to descrease an ability of all players in game.. you make global editing... I remember this future was available at a previous PES ..

The other stuff that has to implemented:
- for tape at the ankle, style and color has to be changed
- short socks has to be implemented
- long/short SHORTS has to be customizable...
