Can goalkeepers get injured

In all the many years of playing PES from the 1st title on PS one to PES 2009 on PS3, i have never had a goalie get injured. Will this be in the new game or has anyone had a goalie get injured in there PES past ???

I have never, ever had a goalkeeper injured, not ever, in any version of the game. The same applies for every single one of my friends who owned the game. It is a major flaw that needs to be fixed. But knowing Konami, what we would get would be some daft system that would see your goalkeeper injured every fortnight.

They have never seemed to impliment a system for injures other than being fouled, when in fact players can simply fall awkwardly, or pull a muscle when running, and for goalkeepers it is as simple as landing wrong after a save, or a hand injury from a strong shot that they take wrong. I'd like to see injuries become more realistic and more common but, not overly so as I fear may happen if they attempted it.

Yeah that sounds great i wholely agree that they should have a system in place which would see goalkeepers get injured. All the other players get injured in the game.

Of course within reason but it should be done correct like injuries to outfield players and then if you didnt a goalie on the bench you would have to put a player in lol.

within reason though... lol if it went wrong... you could end up with no keepers for a season lol..

If that happened, then, Lucas in nets for Liverpool? Better than him being in midfield! United could do the same with John O'Shea! He'd probably do a better job than Foster.

pretty sure I had a goalkeeper get injured on WE 6 on the gamecube, think I had Casillas in goal, and had to bring on Rustu for him cause he got caught by a late tackle when clearing it. I vaguely remember it, but I can still picture him being laid on the floor in pain with the little icon "+" next to his name.

lol Lucas gets sold start of season.. could always buy crouch again and make him lie down on the line

i reckon they should put broken legs etc in the game... lol imagine seeing a player get their leg broke then lie there screaming with their leg mangled.. lol reminds me of being back at school

I've always wanted a random injury system too but I reckon most people will be very unhappy when their best players are randomly getting injured. I think this is the reason it hasn't been included and maybe never will.

Good point, I have never really thought about that.

I've been playing PES since PES4, so i'm guessing keepers don't get injured in PES.

i think my mate said years ago he got jens lehmann injured only a yellow but never had 1 myself.

i asked adam from wenb and i think he said no injuries to keepers.

i also asked if keepes slide out on players like whenever 1 on 1 and u bring the keeper out he just walks past the player and its an open goal but least this year they make an effort to get the ball as ive tried in the demo got valdes sent off from slide tacking a player

Yeh thats another point keepers should randomly and i mean very randomly take players out 1 on 1 and the ref can give them a yellow or red card. Which would be more realistic than the goalies now.

this is a really good point. injuries in general have always been abit shit on
PES games, the amount of times i've gone a full season on ML with a squad
of 30 odd players, alot of them with poor/average injury and fitness stats,
and had NO injuries
