I just bought myself aps3 slim a week before pes10. I had 2 dump my 360 due to ring of death:realmad:
Everythings great except the control. My hands are molded like E.T after an all nighter with the ps3 control.
Been looking everywhere 4 a stick on the control where the pad is. How hard can it be... sigh

Now leaning towards taking matters in my own hands and placing a ps3 control in a 360 shell. Saw something of the sort online..

250GB is totally uncessary, as is spending £285. I'm only just starting to fill my 20GB Xbox 360, a 60GB hard drive would be perfect, anything more is just stupid in my opinion.

I think I'll wait until the PS3 becomes sub-£200.

The only good thing about XBOX is that in my country you can get copy games for only 2 Euros while my PS3 games are all original ...

Good choice though .. PS3 is the best and you'll enjoy the easiness of PES2010 on the new console !

it's mainly the games that come with it i like, not the 250GB

Minus 2 £40 games from the price = £205 so nearly sub-£200 :S

Well my opinion as ive had a PS3 for a year now is its awesome.Youve got Bluray and Iplayer on it,the bluray remembers where a disc is if you have too switch it off and come back to it where you left it.Gran Turismo will be available in the next ten years also!Xboxs have been more popular because they are cheaper and thats been there only saviour.But how much money have Xbox owners saved having to go online?false economy.Youve chosen the right path.Enjoy!

I bought a 360 in 2006 and loved it. Decided to purchase a PS3 at the start of this year and my 360 is now gathering dust, hardly go on it. Thinking of selling it along with my Acer monitor that is hooked up to it. :)

With the XBOX you get loads of exclusive games. You do aswell on PS3 but Halo and the new GTA add on packs are good. + Now you have skyplayer on 360, project natal and about a million other new innovitive ideas. Paying £15 per 3 months for online is pittence so its not really an agurment that i have payed loads in xbox live fees. Microsoft kicks Sony's ass.

For Pes its prob better to play on PS3 but the graphics are more colourful and brighter on the 360 which i like more.

To be fair the point about the controllers, I've had my PS3 for nearly two years now, and the controllers are starting to wear, well I have two and have broken the R2 button on both of them - it doesn't spring back so well anymore.

Don't know if this is normal? Or do they all do that eventually? I do play on it quite a lot.

Yh the triggers on the PS3 arent that good imo. On the 360 you have a casing for it to slide into as you squeeze it whereas on the PS3 it feels too free and unpretected. I just think in general the 360 controller is better.

Not to disagree with you on the last line, but I had pes 09 on both 360 and ps3. I hooked up the ps3 with HDMI and the 360 with component on the same 37inch LCD tv. They were totally the same. So I cannot see a reason why the 360 versionj would eb brighter. On the ps3 you have to turn super white on and make colour set to full though. 2 settings which makes a difference.

But the ps3 online is weak. FACT. It's so weak compared to my xbox. They're in the same room and at times my ps3 won't even connect while my 360 just powers up and connects without a problem. Even wehn downloading. The pes demo on ps3 took an hour and over while on the 360 it took 40-45 minutes.
As for the controller. The 360 wins hands down. It's more comfortable. But the ps3 one, charges with the ps3 so no battreys to buy.

40 to 45 minutes its still alot, it took me like 15 in my ps3 for the demo, what speed is your connection.

anyway, your making a good decision, for the reasons you said its fair enough, plus most of the pro evo players online are in the ps3.

im getting a 37 to 42 inch hdtv this weekend just for pro evo! still undecided on what size though, any recomendation?

^The speed is ok. Normal one. The one below sonic speed. I did a speed test and it's 4.70 Mbps. But I downloaded it late in the day so that time, it'll be slower. I live an an area where there are too many damn waves at the same time thus effecting my speed for sure. Oh and I'm on wireless. It's weak in the ps3.
BTW I have a 37 inch and I can't go smaller than that. The bigger the better, but also check other things like resolution, contract ratio, brightness level, etc.. Then decide from there.

Its all down to preference. In your opinion the 360 controller is better.

I'm used to the Playstation controller and think the 360 controller is too fat and its really ugly.

I prefer the system layout of the playstation aswell. The XMB is far superior to the Xbox's layout.

1) NBA 2K series (mind you the recent one's a bit buggy but still awesome)
2) The forum says it all.

Not at all. The 360 presentation is much superior. Much simpler to get used to. But maybe it's because you're used to the ps layout.:)

The XMB is the most simple thing in the world, all you have to do is to go left and right :\
