I have some trouble getting used to the new lay-out and where I can find stuff I want, but it does look better this way, more refined.

Started a game with Lyon, Toulalan was coveted by a host of clubs but he was adamant on staying (that's a first) so I went to look for a striker - strangely enough they only have Bafetimbi Gomis and Lisandro Lopez so I bought Adriano from Flamengo for 11.25m and sold Govou.

Bought Rodney Sneijder from Ajax for little, Albin Ekdal from Juventus and tried for Luc Castaignos (Feyenoord) but he went to Juventus instead. The staff meetings kind of piss me off, they are off the mark quite often.

Started a game with Notts County. Told the board of I could win the league so I was give just over £1m to spend. Bought Neil Mellor for 95K and he is immense in League 2. Bought a few freebies and a couple of loans from Premiership teams (Ritchie de Laet from Man Utd). Loving it so far.

The staff meetings kind of piss me off, they are off the mark quite often.

In said staff meetings, I'm being told by Mauro Tassotti to withdraw bids for youngsters as they aren't good enough yet when offering them a contract, he says they'll be good signings.

At Milan, I've signed Sergey Krivets (23-year-old Belarus attacking midfielder for £475k), Cristian Ansaldi (£4.4m, because Inter wanted him), Rafael van der Vaart (loan for £1.3m plus £7m if I want to keep him), Angel di Maria (loan for £750k plus £4m if I want to keep him), Keko (£1.4m in compensation to Atletico Madrid) and Josh Lambo (£26k). I'm also about to sign Ronaldo from Corinthians for £1.4m and am trying to get Vincenzo Camillari from Reggina/Fiorentina and Daniel Kofi Agyei from the Viola as well.

Over at Triestina where I had lined up four quality defenders who went elsewhere after late bids, I've signed midfielders Iulian Tames (FC Arges Pitesti, £170k), Verza (Albacete, £40k), Marcinho Guerreiro (free), Alexis (Tenerife, £35k), defenders Medhi Benatia (Clemont Foot, £160k), Massimiliano Barrafranca (free), Enrique Pia (Trapani, £50k) and Michaelangelo Albertazzi (on loan from my Milan team) plus goalkeeper Anderson (free). My strikers are so crap I'm playing 4-1-4-1 and hoping Denis Godeas will score about 50 goals this season :/

Won the Premiership with Liverpool by a distance, it was far more difficult to accomplish the same feat in 09. For some reason though, Capello resigned as England head coach. Very strange, but I've applied for his job.

EDIT: I got it, just in time for the World Cup.

5-1 v Livorno (A) - Ronaldo opened the scoring in 45 seconds
5-1 v Juventus (H) - Ronaldinho opened the scoring in 21 seconds

:smug: - only one point clear of Juventus at the top though. Ronaldinho is my top goalscorer with eight in six and (Brazilian) Ronaldo 3 in 3 (with 3 assists :>). In a nod to the usual realism, Huntelaar hasn't scored in six games.

Over at Triestina my run of five wins following my open day defeat ended fast with a 1-0 defeat at Reggina who were joint-top with me at the time and a 2-0 loss at title favourites Torino. I've just drawn 1-1 at home to Vicenza and am fifth which my squad are very pleased with as we're predicted to finish tenth. Don't see the generally favourable results continuing though.

Ive bought Ronaldo from corinthians as he was doing well when i got him scouted (5 goals in 4 games i think). I got him for £1.9mill.

Ive bought iker muniain, cant remember where from.. but he cost me £2.5 mill and is 16 years old. Debut game against Juventus and hes scored which is pretty good.

Currently chasing Breno, a CB who plays for Bayern Munich.

Also bought an 18 CM brazilian that can play CDM aswell who is pretty good. Tinga i think he is called. Got him for £2.2mill.

I'm desperately hoping to sell a player for at least £4m in January so that I can make the van der Vaart deal permanent for the agreed £6.75m with Real. Of the two, de Maria is the one I won't keep because his preferred position is on left wing so I'm always going to be playing him out of position.

I was hoping for interest in Daniele Bonera (rated at £6m) or Klass-Jan Huntelaar (no goals in 7 appearances) until I gave Bonera his debut while resting my normal starting XI and he got two assists in my 3-1 win at Cagliari this morning - both goals scored by Huntelaar. Suddenly, Bonera is threatening to relegate Antonini to the bench and move the impressive Zambrotta to left-back while Huntelaar is fighting it out with Borriello to be the striker I cash in on. Inzaghi has 4 goals in 5 games.

I can't get any interested parties after Jankulovski, Favalli, Oddo or Storari :|

Over at Triestina, we won 3-1 at Brescia this morning and are around fourth in Serie B after 10/11 matches. If Nicola Princivalli (central midfielder), Jaroslav Sedivec (winger) or Denis Godeas (striker) get injured for a period of time, I won't be scoring goals.

Yeh.. He has been good for me so far but ive havent let him start a game yet.

Inzaghi has 4 goals in 5 games.

I like to use Inzagi as an impact sub and its working quite well.. He started for me in pre-season against athletico madrid and got 1 goal and 1 assist in a 5-0 home win

Doing well with Notts County, approaching the January transfer window and the board give me 2.6m to spend, I don't need any more players lol. May purchase some young players with good potential. Also I managed to get Aston Villa as my parent club.

I bought Juninho Pernambucano back from Qatar for 825k as a back-up, picked up Stephen Appiah on a free, he too as a cover, and signed up Alan Dzagoev from CSKA. Also some scout-recommended talents, namely Mats Rits, Romelu Lukaku, and Ryder Matos ('could be the next Ronaldo' according to the media) from Fiorentina.

Luc Castaignos is touted as the new Seedorf, Miralem Pjanic is the new Ivica Osim and Lukaku is the new Juan Lozano.......a little pressure never hurt anyone :faceplm:

Adriano spent a year both scoring and whining about being treated unfairly, and not settling in the year, but now - a year later - he resolved his settling problems and signed a new contract. I even bought Alex Cruz, a totally crap player but one of his favored personnel.

So, after a title-winning season with Liverpool and getting the England job (still scratching my head over Capello's resignation), I'm about to start the World Cup campaign. Probable squad:

MF: Gerrard, Lampard, S. Wright-Phillips, Barry, Hargreaves, Walcott, Beckham, Milner

I've just finished a brilliant match at Fiorenitna. I was 3-1 down with 20 minutes to go, Ronaldo had gone off after four minutes and his replacement Inzaghi had done nothing at all (rating of 5.6) so I went crazy - Abate on for Ambrosini and changing the role of that player from ball winning midfielder to attacking winger. Huntelaar on for Inzaghi. Mentality (is that the one?) from Control to Overload and passing from Shorter to More Direct. All of that gave me a 4-3 win in injury-time (Huntelaar with the winner) whilst Abate had a goal disallowed when I'd gotten back to 3-2. Love it.

Odd shutdown/booting problem

Any of you guys had this problem?

Basically whenever I play FM10, after about 10-20 minutes, my PC just shuts down without me prompting it.

What do you guys think it could be. It could be the graphis card but FM doesn't really use up alot of memory surely?

FM will stress the CPU and RAM, causing them to take more wattage. I can only suggest its a power supply issue.

I can only have the English leagues running on my laptop, missing out on loads of players.

Anyway, started as Liverpool. Managed to sell Babel for 11 million, Lucas for 9 and Dossena for 7 all to Man City. Also sold Degen and Cavalieri to Stoke for 3.5 a piece and Voronin to Sunderland for 5.5 and El Zhar for 2.1 to Wolves. Then I bought in Van Nistelrooy for 1.8 and got Petrov in on loan from City. Missed out on Van Der Vaart, who went to Lazio on loan instead, but I'm doing pretty well. Just coming up to the Christmas period and I'm 3 points off Chelsea with a game in hand and I've agreed deals to sign Donnavon on a free and Gignac for 10 million over 48 months. Hopefully he does as well for me as he does for Toulouse on the game.

I could do with a right winger and a left winger to (eventually) start as Kuyt isn't really cutting the mustard and Petrov is almost 31 and I'm not willing to pay for him. Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking of moving Gerrard to the right and buying in Gourcuff to play off Torres, but with Gerrard himself almost 30, it might not be the best idea, plus I can't see him coming cheap and with me losing almost 5 million a month, I can't afford to splash big cash.

Ignazio Abate of Milan is nothing special but decent and cheap. Angel di Maria is a left winger and I got him from Benfica for £4.7m (£700,000 on loan with a £4m option I've now taken up).

An update on my Milan game: out of nowhere the board gave me an additional £25m to spend and I'm only in November in my first season. Sorts out my issues except van der Vaart suddenly thinks he's too good to join me so I'm not going to use him much. The plank can rot the rest of the season.

As mentioned above, Angel di Maria will be staying and Marseille are suddenly interested in signing both Pato and Flamini. They can have the latter as he's been absolutely shite.
