White Knight Chronicles, Star Ocean, and the upcoming Final Fantasy. Is anyone getting any of these titles?

I may pick up Final Fantasy XIII although I really didn't like XII so I'm going to give it a rent before buying.

Still rather they made a remake of VII.

I shall be getting the new Final Fantasy when it comes out, for PS3.

Its one of the games i'm most looking forward to.

Definitely Final Fantasy XIII for me, although I am a bit worried since I didn't like Final Fantasy XII that much.

Originally I would have said White Knight Chronicles a year ago but the reviews haven't matched the hype this is one to consider.

Star Ocean I will be getting at some point but I'm not sure when.

I'm tempted by Final Fantasy XIII, but I have never finsihed a final fantasy in my life, and the only JRPG i have finished are Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger and Golden Sun.

I buy a lot of them, then get bored part way through....

All three are getting some really bad reviews. I have no interest in WKC or Star Ocean, but I was thinking of giving FF a go, now I'm not so sure, especially after playing Mass Effect and Fallout.

I am playing Chrono Trigger on my DS every now and then. Which is a great game.

Skies of Arcadia! Love that one. You know the characters from that game appeared in Valkyria Chronicles?

As for White Knight the reviews are mixed I may skip it but Star Ocean looks decent enough albeit the story seems weak.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Final Fantasy XIII is mostly getting positive reviews. Star Ocean is getting mediocre/mixed reviews. White Knight Chronicles has taken a lot of bad hits from reviews which has put me off but apparently the game has a better score among players.

Golden Sun has my interest, I played the first two in and out and then waited for a sequel for yonks.

But mostly I just can't get hyped for the same flat characters with the bent banana haricuts in the most ridiculous of fantasy worlds. It's been overdone, they should try something fresher.

These Japanese, man.

WKC and FF13 are getting some really average scores. According to the Asians who already got the game, FF13 is an extremely linear experience with nowhere interesting to go and nothing interesting to do until half way into the game. They also say it has a boring combat system. I'll believe this because FF games have always been linear and this one seems the most linear with the most boring story.

If you need a Jrpg to play go pick up Eternal Sonata. The story is decent, the combat is refreshing, and the amount of detail that went into the art is amazing. Those 3 games won't compare to this little gem.
