Great seeing EA suffering from lack of licensing, but hopefully they can create a decent bit of competition before ultimately obtaining the UFC brand and consequently destroying the game franchise as each year EA will dwindle out another half-arsed effort.

Contrast though, it could be quite like how Skate revolutionised the skating genre and knocked Tony Hawks off of the perch. We'll see.

Apparently Dana is very pissed with EA and rightly so according to this.

tsk tsk EA.

Brilliant! And about time, too!

I'll maybe get a chance to fire it up on Sunday. Working nights Friday and Saturday, meaning I'm damn well sleeping in while it's the daylight hours.

Just had a go on and it's still a bit gash as far as I can see. I tried playing some Player matches to get into the swing of things against a friend, and there seemed to be button lag for both our fights. It wasn't like usual lag, but button lag, I'd hit "X" to punch and my fighter would take a second before he actually threw the punch - the same goes for movement and blocking - complete button lag. It's playable, but completely pointless and frustrating since every split second counts.

Also, apparently THQ have implemented a DNF stat (Did Not Finish) for quitters which will be displayed on their fighting stats. However, it seems everybody in past fights who have been quit on, also has the DNF percentage because the fight wasn't finished. So for me, I've had probably 20 people quit on me, now I haven't bothered checking yet, but according to other people, I will have a DNF percentage of around 35% of my fights - which fucking sucks as I haven't quit.

Time to sell UFC me thinks.

I still play the game on career mode. I'm gonna keep going until I get into the Hall Of Fame. Even though I've improved, playing online is annoying. As well as the lag, everyone seems to play for the reversal/counters.

Ive one game out of the last twelve that has lagged so Im happy enough.

From the ten that I have won, eight have been ground and pound knockouts whilst the other two were submissions. Having talked to Hunter about my problems on the ground, my ground game as got better again to what it used to be since before I lent the game out for too long.

Dragonfly, your still not in the Hall of Fame? Thyre duckin you, man.

Anyone still play this?

I've just started getting back into the swing of it a few weeks ago. I only play Exhibition matches mind, I just like to start banging and seeing some good brawls and grudge matches. Played Forrest Griffin (me) vs. Stephan Bonnar a few times this morning and in the rematch I knocked Bonnar out in 22 seconds believe it or not. I was stunned, he threw the jab out there and I landed the left-hook flush.

Still some immense matches and knockouts to be had, I don't care for online or career at the moment, purely and simply I like to bang it out in Exhibition when I have some spare time.

I had it on the Xbox, but I traded in my console for a PS3. I was considering buying it for the PS3, but I think a new one is coming out soon.

I'm down the same avenue as you, mate. I still play it from time to time, after my interest in it was recently reawakened. I'm really only banging it out in Exhibition mode, or playing winner stays on when a group of mates get together.

Anyone still playing this (on PS3)?

Just got this today and had a few matches, I'm liking it. Just made myself on it too. Thought I'd have an online match, just a piss around to see how it goes, but can't find any.

Give me a shout sometime and we'll have a match.

Of course. His delivery makes it one of the greatest lines ever. That, and the glorious death of Fat Dominic.

True, the first time I seen that episode I knew Dominic was going to be killed off, becaue when they include a random character like that, its not going to end well.

acquired this from a mate and ive been hammering it out on just Exhibition, cant be arsed to start career. Game is fairly simple to begin with, started a few times bangin on the heavier lads and just went for the KO all the time. Once i got a hang of the submission/clinch concepts i started messin around with Maia and other BJJ specialist and started to go for the submission, which ive found fairly hard to do, really have to wear the buggers out. I've confidently made it all the way to advanced and starting to have decent technical bouts, still enjoying it.
