Do you let other people borrow your games?

I used to allow it without any conditions, but now, I only allow it to the people I trust. So far, that's only one. He lets me borrow his, and I let him borrow mine. For me, that's the fairest.

I really hate it when they say I'll send it back in a week. Then, 2 months later, I haven't got it back.

Another annoying thing is that, someone always want to borrow your games. The kind that makes you feel being taken advantage of. When you want to borrow their games, they either haven't got any, or, they have some shite games that's not worthy to play. Every once in a while, buy your own, for fuck's sake!

I usually (reluctantly) lend the games out and feel really cruel when the same person would lend theirs to me without a second thought and no deadline on when they want it back.

Fuck no. Games, CDs, anything. I've had too many things nicked off me over the years. Only lend something out If you have something of theirs that you can sell on Ebay for more than the value of the thing you are lending them.

I've got one friend who I trust completely, I've let him borrow more pricey things than games before.

I remember when I was younger, letting people borrow things only to not get them back. Every now and then though, I'd extract revenge in the form of taking something of theirs, rarely mind, but still, it was deserved and the general rule. I remember having several Pokemon shiny cards stolen from a friend (including Charizard and others), and I seen him talking about them as if he'd just bought a pack and got them all - so I covertly stole his football. We're good friends to this day in all honesty, he lives just up the road from me, my regular footballing pal.

I think you can excuse this sort of behaviour when you're young, but to do something like this at our age now is just pathetic in my opinion.

In my case, that person would be in my "trusted" list.

This mate of mine, defended himself, by saying, "it's not like you're still playing the games." Yes, he's got a fair point. But, I also spent $90 on that video game(s) during the time of the release, and, by letting him keeping it, that makes me feel that I've lost $90 out in the sea. I don't mind it had the video games cost $5. He can throw it away if he wants to.

Does that make any sense?

Don't really lend games & music but, lend DVD's out quite often. I do use DVD catalogue software to track who borrowed what though & have a preferred list for some stuff.

One of my friends still has my Rock Band 2 and another still has Fifa 09, but I have their GH:World Tour and CoD:WaW games.
