Now we all know that in master league for example u have league and CL and EC etc etc , and at the end of every tournament there is the team of the tournament , the best 11 players.
Now what im wondering is , how exactly does this pes 2010 system choose these players ,because I have in my whole master league career noticed some very very weird and unlogical choices.
For example I have recently won the CL , my player was 2nd best scorer , I also had 2 players around 4-7th best scorers , and also my player was the assist leader.
so thats 3 or 4 very succesful players on the tournament from the winning team and yet none of my players were in the best 11.
Another example is the league , my player was the best assister by far this season and he was not in the best 11 team , and yet around 4-5 of those players that were in the top 11 are not even on the scoring or assist rankings! Including 1 player of mine who was in the best 11 yet his stats and everything were not impressive at all.
It absolutely makes no sense at all, in any case its not a huge issue because I know PES 2010 has many many other issues that are even worse , but its still something that annoys me so much for some reason..

Alltho my biggest annoy is still that every team plays similar , konami said they will have these tactics and that every team will play so unique but I just don't see it.
Basically almost every team plays like barca , fast short passes.
And every team is actually on the level of barca in passing , wigan , zaragoza , napoli , it doesn't matter.
Teamwork and passing accuracy and speed seem to have no huge effect seeing as this is true.

And BAL let me not lose words for there... the fact that u cant really sign a contract for more years like any other soccer player in the world does , or too imply which teams u would be most interested in and which not so that those would want to sign u sooner if ur performances were good ... its just a big mess.

So does anyone else get annoyed by this and also what other things annoy you in PES?

I think the awards, including World player of the year, etc, are not based on assists and goals as much as they are on the the players average rating for the tournament. So, your striker might have the most goals in the CL, but another striker might have played less games, say as a substitute, and happened to have really high ratings in those games, so say if your player had an average rating of 6.7, this other guy might have had 6.8 and so he will get it. You can view the players ratings in team info but you have to push the right trigger to see them.

Anyway, I think the way Konami look at it, the ratings are largely based on goals and assists, so they think they don't need to base the best eleven on actual goals, simply on ratings. This kinda makes sense, but the ratings systems has some issues in my opinion...

For example, where this system falls down, is when you have a player who played less games, or came on as a substitute. It's well known that if your player comes on as a substitute it is much easier to get a high rating, especially if you score. Also, if a player comes off, even in the 85th minute, that seems to bring their rating down, so if I have a player who I wants to win trophies in a tournament I try to either leave him on the pitch the whole match, or else bring him on as a sub, but never pull him even if he's doing well, because it will bring his rating down.

That's the way it seems to work for me, anyway. And to some degree I agree with the fact that it shouldn't simply be about goals and assists. If you have a player who you want to win something, your're going to need to try to get high ratings, which means more than just being johnny on the spot. You have to try to get them to complete a high percent of passes, dribble the ball over long distances, and also win as many tackles with the player, even if they are a forward, as this adds to the ratings as well. Goals and assists though are the best way to get high ratings anyway, so my guess is you just got unlucky, or perhaps your players had one or more bad games which brought their average ratings way down.

This would make sense , but the ratings are horribly wrong if it doesn't take the matches played into account , and also how the team ranked should play a bit of a role ( we all know the winning team usually has a few ppl in the team of the tournament ).

Because in this case some guy can actually come on as a sub for 1 single game in the whole tournament and say get a 7.5 rating , nobody will beat him and then he will appear on the top 11 , which is quite ridicilous.

Yeah, I think that's pretty much how it works... er... doesn't work.

Hey, howdy fellas?
I have the PS3 version of PES 2010 and there is this problem which really annoys me to the point I wouldn`t wanna play on. It is about the game speed increasing to an almost unbelievable level after two or three games played back to back. I mean the first game feels the right speed and tempo. the second game is a bit faster in terms of players passing speed, shooting, running, etc. but from 3rd game on, it is almost unplayable. Its like 3x compared with the first game. What is this problem? I really can`t play a couple of games in a row.The game speed gets too high. Funny thing is, sometimes it is 3x right from the first match !
does it have anything to do with the PS3 being powerful and stuff? cause I read some article about the same problem with high end PC settings.
Please share ur thoughts guys. Thanks.
