Better than expected?

Just wanted to get some opinions on wether or not the game has lived up to or exceeded any expectations you guys had of it.
For me I am glad to say the later is absolutely the case, I think the game is more difficult, more aesthetically pleasing, the new ball physics are pretty sublime when you become more accustomed to them, and overall I think this has to be the closest thing to real football I have ever played, Much kudos in the direction of Konami :)

yups. i agree with u. i had played master league (still playing for 1st season = 5 matches league, 2 champ league) with marseille. i use broadcasting camera angle (only this that i like but not exactly favorite since old pes, i always use broadcasting 2 but this camera are not included). i played profesional level and regular. because of camera angle that i never familiar i just pick this level. i found scoring is an issue. some game i got 17 shot but no goal meanwhile lack defending last minute i concede and lost. i'm still learning to comfortable my self with this camera angle.

but for me pes2011 is great. improvement than last year. if this continue pes2012 will much better. but i quite disapointed with camera angle (no bcasting 2).

i've gotten used to the demo (usa) and now see how the ball physics are better than before, once you learn how to shoot its an awesome game! I just hope Online is good on the US servers. THats the make or break for me since I only really play online lately since all my buddies have moved far away.

i agree on the camera angle issue, I always play on wide but the way it angles makes it hard to shoot at times, at least for me. I aim shoot and the goalie saves it, maybe the goalies are much better too?

gk got improvement this year. i dissapoint pes11 cos of camera - broadcasting 1 not included, i play whole pes use this angle. now i'm still learning to familiar with broadcasting camera. for now every shot and ball control is diificult to me. but overall i satisfied with pes2011. much improvement eventho some items missing and bug.

The Goalkeepers in PES are terrible, all you have to do to score nowdays is run towards the goal and tap the button, any good player on here will be able to do this anytime they get the shot off and this works from as far out as 30 yards most of the time, and guess what? If the keeper does save it he drops it right in front of the goal for your forward to tap in.

It's just stupid having the shots so powerful, really really stupid. Especially when the Goalkeepers are rooted to the ground and don't adjust their positions.

This Has anyone also notice that in the start up intro to the game Konami show us how bad the goalies are :(

The GK are rubbish! i think i have played about 8 games online and on 5 of them my GK has made an error.. simple stuff

Yeah I noticed this, think it's on Ronaldo's freekick the keeper surely should get it but jumps and misses it lol

I have noticed a problem with playing wide camera that sometimes the camera doesn't keep up with the ball and its in the bottom corner of the screen! Anyone else had this!?

lol yea i was watching the Intro when i got the game and though the Goal Keeper should easily have stopped that free kick, its like his hands actually went past the ball before it even got there. not exactly the best example of a good free kick to put in the intro.

Also has any1 noticed how the AI are fucking immense at Free Kicks? i have given the AI 3 free kicks away near my box and boom 3 goals in the top corner.

Yes its annyoing becuase when there is a freekick by the box i always try and put a player on the line becuase i know its going to be a goal.

But this problem was becuase i made a fair tackle got the ball ref gives a freekick and they score and i done the same thing in the box got the ball and he gave a pen and the game ended 2-2.

Its a great game but refs are one of the biggest problems still.

one of the best passing systems ever, once you find your passing range the game becomes very realistic and satisfying. the other night i played for 8 straight hours and my passing was perfect and had a rythm to it. i played with teams that had a passing midfielder like Banega at valencia. the next day i played again and the first few games i struggled to find my rythm, but once i found it it changed the gameplay completely.

the other highlight of this game is the defending. once it clicks its brilliant.its so realistic.

check your settings maybe you have that the screen stays with a certain player rather than follow the ball? I forgot the names of the options.

ya when you figure out the integracies of the passing system its a great game! As for the goalie complaints, I haven't noticed such horrible mistakes, maybe once or twice but its normal isn't it?
